Re: Retras Watch's Diver

Thought there was a lot to like about this one guys, but just didn't get time to post about it Andrew. :) Am seeing what you guys mean about the markers, and hands. But then thought that maybe they wanted to be similar to a particular vintage watch, or style. But not exactly the same, and wanted to...

Anyone else see this? They were in the "New Seiko" thread. http://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=67092&start=175#p1333559 New bezels for the new Turdles? I’ll definitely be getting the green one. The cyclops is stupid, but an easy fix. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...

Odd choice to not have applied markers at 6, 9, and 12.

My favorite of his so far. I am considering the copper dial version.
I'm also tempted by the copper.

Re: Noob ISO First NAFT

Unless your wrist is tiny, I strongly recommend a 775 or 777. My wrist measures out at an even 7". I've always felt my wrists were thin.... Get the 775, 777, and the SPRC23. For that amount, shouldn't I be looking at the SPB051/3J? My wrist is about 6.5", and it's not a problem, thanks to the short...

Re: Seiko SBCM023 Perpetual Calendar

I don't think there is any current equivalent to this. It's a shame that the haven't reissued something like a modern version of the 7548. I would be all over a new quartz watch in the SKX or turtle style case.

It's nothing near grand seiko. It's just a quartz 007 with an upgraded movement.
Not exactly. The case is narrower than the SKX. I consider myself small wristed (6.5"), and I flipped one because it seemed too small.

I don't own a watch with a 8215,why are you against it?
Non-hacking, and often have a little bit of a stutter.

^^^ This. It's nice that they went for a vintage vibe, but I would be more interested if it were 38-39mm.

Not bad right Hoppy?! :) It's overall just a nice looking dress watch, although don't know a ton first hand on how the 8215 is to be honest. But totally am taking your word on how they are Erik, and Steve. It's maybe keeping the price of the watch down I guess. ..Bjorn, what a terrific point too on...

The design is okay. Maybe it's just me, but the having digits only at 12:00 seems like an odd design choice.

Looks nice, but kickstarter is a non-starter for me. Seems odd that a business proudly stating they have been around since 2013 would go this route.
