Re: The Watches of James Bond

Movies are great for promoting brands In the books, it was a Rolex Explorer with a stretch band. Fleming liked Rolx so... He stated the reason was the band allowed the watch to be used in fist fights, like a knuckle bar etc Bond would always get a new one every year on boxing day. Must have been har...

Re: Where have all the Tutima's gone?

I currently stilll own two. One a SS Pacific 200 and the renewed Pacific 300 with compass dial Sinn has no special tech advantage, its just public recognition. Sin and Tutima share a lot in common and are located in the same city Bands even look alike. Tutima is more aggressive on price cutting viol...

I have owned a few
Look at the Mido ALL DIAL , Ocean7 LM2, AND MY CURRENT ONE IS A MOMO LE GMT

There are a lot out there. I like them as it makes the dial look larger, seems to increase readability

I used   a Roku 2, and then I got the Apple puck. Wow Huge difference as Apple actually has a different deal on streaming. I got CC right away and interface is great. Airplay allows me to stream from iPad or iPhone, iPod etc. I also just bought the Sony Super wifi and it has Neflix as we...

Looks like a MOMO in a way
That being said, name makes me think Shinola, Invicta etc. AirBoss?
Pie pan, toy etc... I just don’t see a serious watch on the arm

Just an opinion, I won't be going after this one.

Re: A couple of questions for the accuracy nuts on DWC

If you rotate, what's the difference. I am never a stickler on exact time If so I would get that Bulove you can adjust on the fly. 99% accurate as it says Your watch was not bought to tell time exclusively anyway or you would have gotten a Seiko However, you did ask for accuracy nuts and I am not re...

There used to be a law, which has been nullified. Restraint of trade is not an issue here. And really, all one has to do is sell your eta models If you are worried Try buying anything from factory today. I was amazed at how hard it was to get OEM bracelet links from Alpina. Even ADs could not get th...

Question on brand ownership

I wonder if other are like me. Feeling a bit odd in that I currently own three Tutima dive watches. And 2 are yellow dials. Does anyone else have such a brand centric collection. I had 5 at one time a month ago I just like them a lot and wear them all in rotation as they are different bands ( 42mm P...

nice
Movement is great and hands remind me of the Dievas I had

Only thing I could suggest is a nice custom or leather. Get exact measurements for wrist and just do three holes max

I would like the 44 range myself but this is magic

I used to work at Douglas Aircraft back in the 60's When we wanted anything, be it watches, road bikes or the lasted Nikon camera, all I had to do was call for my union steward. This guy dealt in all things .... Stolen. Racket was wide spread. In fact, if you check, the largest currency counterfeit ...

Re: The Grammies WTF?

I did not know they had a gay marriage until later. I turned it off. Started out way to raunchy. As for marriage, not my problem, nor do I really care. Its just a piece of paper IMHO, the vows are what matters. When 50% end up divorced it mocks the idea. Actually I have some gay friends who are marr...

Re: The Grammies WTF?

Disgusting. I was thinking about TE Lawrence and his tales of the WWI Muslim thought and why they revolted on the side of the Britss... not from loyalty for sure. They were revolting against western influence then, this explains it in spades. Decadent behavior and lauded by the idiot elite. Not cond...

When I look at a watch in this category, and I like the brand, but in this price range it had better have something I can’t see in the newer rip off collections currently on the market.

I love the watch and ould buy it, but not when a Lange is so close in prices
