$4k is quite reasonable for it. It's too expensive for me personally but it's priced about right.

Re: Wrong Movements Installed in Unimatic U1?

My overall point is that the big guys mess up and the micros mess up. But if Rolex or Omega or JLC or... had machined cases that didn't fit their movement, they would have come up with a reliable fix (and if the fix didn't work, they would have stood behind their warranty). Rolex had the recent cyc...

Re: Wrong Movements Installed in Unimatic U1?

With movements such as eta 2824, miyots 9015, sw200 etc you need a movement spacer ring because the diameter of the movement is much smaller than that of the dial. The vast majority of watches are assembled from the back so the case is wide enough to take the dial therefore leaving a big gap between...

Re: Why Clocks and Watches use IIII instead of IV

I always believed it was for the balance on the dial as mentioned in the article, but I never knew that the 9 was sometimes written VIIII. If that's true then that debunks the balance theory.

Re: Swatch Group Leaving Basel

Me thinks the big online reviewers wallets will be getting fatter. Yeah, but the guys who do the on-site reporting must be bummed that their annual free trip to Switzerland is getting canned ;) I don't think Basel will be gone next year, but possibly the year after. They'll be forced to renegotiate...

Re: What do you drive???

It is the Ranger Raptor I refer to. Price wise I heard the salesman said about USD50k. So, it's for premium market. Many Everests cruising around in my town. Wow only $50k for a Ranger Raptor! That's very good. I heard it would be priced similarly to the VW Amorak Adventure so if it does launch in ...

Re: What do you drive???

Gents, you guys have F150 over there instead of Raptor. Just curious what are the attractions for Raptor? Price factor? They have the awesome F150 Raptor, which is a F150 beefed up, the Raptor I'm referring to is the new Ranger Raptor, which is a Ranger that has been given some of the F150 Raptors'...
