They are far from old man shoes.
Old guy walking shoes was my first thought.
Guess I’m an old man now. I’m cool with that.
Yeah, I'm right behind ya :raised:

Why are there two triangles on the bezel. Confusing much?

Great stuff.
Hate the Citizen but like all others though I don’t wear square watches so the B&R would be out for me.
I agree with you on the Citizen. Case is pointlessly big with a small recessed dial that is not easy to read on an angle.

Re: New whip (GMC Denali)

Additionally, some of the newer diesels get 20+ mpg without a load, so they aren't much more expensive to run than a 4 door sedan. Surprised to think a 2 tonne plus vehicle with a 6L engine could get 20mpg. Looking around the net real-world reports suggest on average people are getting about 14mpg....

I don't own a full size truck, but I do drive a Toyota Tacoma (Hilux is the designation in OZ, I think) as a daily driver.
The Hilux is legendary in Oz. Seems like a sweet choice, but they are still way smaller than the GMC.

Why do I drive a truck? I don't think many people would like to sit in a deer blood stained seat. Nor do I want to scrape it off the trunk or have people who do not like hunting seeing it.
We have a winner :-)

Re: New whip (GMC Denali)

This truck thing Americans have...don't really get it. Unless you need it for work or to carry lots of stuff, isn't it a pain in the butt to park, expensive to run, and such? Man it's great to haul things with and not have to wait for delivery of furniture and large items. I never would have though...

As with watches, buy what you like.
Well, sure. My question was why do people like them :-)

NASA required that all watches for the space program had to be minimum 51% made in the US Never heard of that before - have you got a reference? Many of the watches chosen for testing from the first batch and for years later were non-US brands (including Rolex and Seiko), so this seems highly unlik...

Re: The Speedmaster Chronicles part 1

NASA required that all watches for the space program had to be minimum 51% made in the US, yet the Speedmaster says Swiss Made on the dial. Either the Speedy didn't really qualify or the dial marking is BS. Anyone know more about this?

Good review. I completely disagree with him about the strap though. The new Prospex dive strap is one of the best dive straps I've ever used. Perfect flexibility and the keeper and buckle are of high quality. Its similar to the old Tuna strap but better. They retail for around $50. I'd like to see ...

Re: Gavox Avidiver Mini Review

Good looking watch! I think the inner triangle works the same as most internal bezels on dive watches (except the Aquatimer's which remains water resistant without screw down), but I agree with you that it is a very handy feature, and a lot more fun to use than a standard rotating outer bezel. He e...
