Re: New Citizen Promaster Aqualand

that watch confuses me How so? It's actually pretty trick. Time, 'charge level' for the solar movement, and two depth gauges: current depth (the colored arrow), and max depth (the pointy one). Gotta know the max so you can calculate proper decompression. Also has an alarm if your ascent / descent r...

Re: No date watches

How could you not know what day it is? If you work exactly the same 5 day week structure every week its easy to track. If your work flow is less structured or goes across weekends its not always so easy. The same as those people who say you don't need a watch when you have a computer in front of yo...

Re: No date watches

I really like Seiko's set-up with the day-date on the dial. I don't sit on a computer or my phone all day and I use my watch for information.

I can look at paintings on the wall, or the scenery if outside, when I want to see pretty things.

Has this Erik guy ever detailed what his specific concern is?

I actually find it very easy to read at a glance.
I agree with Chris about readability. Not so much about the use of a disc for the hours, but that they should have used a different colour for the hour indicator. It needs to done in the colour of the hands, not the same colour as the markers.

"It just works" has been true of Windows for some time.

Not sure newer Macbook designs are without problems though: https://youtu.be/NzjoELvrkYo

I had one fail...the rubber between the pin and the watch head is really quite thin and under pressure the pin tore through the rubbber.

Re: Australian DWC’rs

I did. It’s right there, and you - still - never sent me your PayPal info. I was going to once the book arrived and could ascertain the correct postage. Then I would send the paypal address and be able to tell you what was due. I already said I was on it, so there was no point contacting you furthe...

Re: Australian DWC’rs

I don't get why Matt would ask me to do something then bail on the arrangement without checking in first.

I'll peg it as miscommunication though and the dinosaur pics are great...so moving on.

Re: Australian DWC’rs

You asked me to buy the book. I said I'd get in to it, and I did. I was going to get back to you when the book arrived. If you were in any way confused or concerned you could have asked for an update. Instead you say don't bother cos you are going to source it elsewhere. I tell you its already on th...

Re: Australian DWC’rs

Wow...that didn't take long! I have an offer to buy the book and pay postage from a standup WIS.

All is well that ends well.

Based on his actions here I wouldn't trust Matt Graham in an online transaction though.

Not sure if Amazon will ship from Canada or Australia?
Its vendor specific - some will and others won't.

There seems to be a different coffee culture in the US than in Oz - you guys for more the drip style coffee. We tend to go for stripped down versions of the Italian Barista style coffee machines. I use this Breville and love it. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81YD-1hGtGL._SL1500_.j...
