Re: What do you drive???
Picked up an Isuzu MUX. Love that you can still get Isuzu down under. Loved my 98 Trooper. My daughter took it over when she got her license a year ago. It got her safely through 2 wrecks ( neither her fault) and was finally burning through oil so fast that the engine seized a couple weeks back. I'...

Picked up an Isuzu MUX. This pic is at the end of an 80km beach run at the point the beach ends and the cliffs of the Great Australian Bight begin. Possibly as remote a place as there is in Australia. http://www.wellnet.com.au/camping/Great%20Oz%20Bight%202021-01-20%20MUX%201.jpg http://www.wellnet....

Re: BREMONT S500 Black - any experience?
^^ Carl - those are incredible pictures - really excited to get the watch now - lands tomorrow. I'm actually going on a trip in a couple of weeks and will have the opportunity to dive for several days. TBH, though, I'll probably wear an Ares or Gshock - we get banged around A LOT. It's a great watc...

Re: BREMONT S500 Black - any experience?
I may be picking your brain a bit later in the year about camera recommendations. My son (12) is desperate to learn to dive. I’m working on she-who-must-be-obeyed to let him get his junior open water certificate. I know I’ll dive a lot more often once my son is eager to go. Happy to help if I can

Re: BREMONT S500 Black - any experience?
If I had to do it all over again, I would get it on rubber only. Unfortunately I can't find any pictures of the watch on rubber. OEM rubber and Isofrane http://www.wellnet.com.au/pics/Bremont%20Supermarine%20Rottnest%20egg%20hunt%203-03-13%20%20(1).jpg http://www.wellnet.com.au/pics/Bremont%20Super...

Re: BREMONT S500 Black - any experience?
The S500 is one of my most highly rated dive watches. Well finished, great accuracy, tough AF. http://www.wellnet.com.au/pics/Bremont%20Supermarine%20500%202014-02-16%20HMAS%20SWAN%203.jpg Crazy clear photo, Carl! That sucks.
I was banned for exposing that they were sharing peoples data with sponsors.
Ernie, though long gone, you are still a prick.

http://www.wellnet.com.au/pics/Citizen%20BL125-52h%202015-03-29%20Lena%204.jpg I remember when these came out, I always meant to pick one up (like with so many watches  ) but never had a chance. Looks good! This one is modded. Citizen put an all metal bezel on the grey dial version and this bl...

My Damasko has held up better than any PVD finish I have had. It's over 5 yrs old and is still unmarked.

Had a bit to do with Jason back in the Holotype/Bluering days. Stand-up guy in every respect. And the watches were great.

I read that Big Sur breaks 3rd party VPN's. Worth considering if that is a thing for you

Re: New project
Underwater readability has no relationship to lume. Even at 100m you can read the watch dial without a problem.gonzomantis wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 5:14 pmThe picture in the original post shows zero lume on the hands. What good is it under water if you can't read it?![]()
I don't really see why the ISO requires lume TBH.

I'm definitely a fan, with both the blue and the black dials.

The flat bezel is a good call. Having a crystal sitting proud always concerns me in day to day use.

I have been running an expresso coffee machine for years...couldn't go back to drip. You get negative points for "expresso". :) Still using the Breville you posted a couple years ago? I drink em pretty quick...so expresso is not totally wrong  Yes, still have the Breville. Its not missed a beat
