Re: Watch trading: a cautionary tale

^^ haha - thanks guys... I've read somewhere that Tudor is just swapping out movements of the in-house calibers on the BB's if they need repair. Anecdotal reports, but I've read a couple. Also a guy on TRF, I believe, said his watch just stopped working after 6 months and Tudor just swapped it out,...

Yeah 2018 hasn't been one of the best years upon reflection. But I'm generally the optimist. Thanks J

Re: Watch trading: a cautionary tale

Nice truck Paul, On a different note: I went to leave my house at 05.45 this morning for training, and as soon as I opened my door, my recently acquired Toyota Hilux of 6 weeks was not in front of my house. Some ass hole has stolen my vehicle during the evening. Hugely pissed off as I'd only finishe...

Re: Watch trading: a cautionary tale

What a cluster f&*k Paul, and your left carrying the can. If you have to go down the AD repair path, and you'll know how best to play this, but subtly bang on about getting the watch for work, "bought it from another buddy in the office who'd lost the papers... Did a few dives/high speed low drag sh...

Re: New Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Co Axial

Only watch I've ever regretted selling was my 2254.50, this reminds me of this but a better version. Also hope it's more obtainable than most stainless Rolex sports models and Omega sell a gazilllion. Great watch you have there Mike, if Omega could come up with a cool GMT to compete with the new Pep...

Lol I emailed the guy and recommended he take better pics because nobody is going to give him multiple thousands of dollars for that watch with no box/papers based on those pics - he basically told me I didn’t know what I was talking about. On the upside there's only 300 of each being made. Hopefully they'll see the light and make something a little smaller.

Thanks James, a very sedate day for me. Started with a paddle, followed by a gym session. Got into the city and caught up with the brothers at around 13.00. I was all wrapped up and heading home before 17.00. I generally get pretty messy on Anzac Day. I’ve been putting in a lot of training for the o...

Really like the two GMT's from Rolex and Tudor. It will be interesting to see post their release to dealers how available these will be. Unless Rolex trickle feed these to the dealers, hopefully getting a new GMT shouldn't to too problematic further on down the track, there always seems to be a good...

A few nice pieces, but generally too dressy for my taste. Feels a bit like PR to me rather than a genuinely necessary cash raising exercise. Agree Andy, talk about talking it up. Interesting to see what the 22SAS Breitling goes for. These were made only for members of this unit at a specific time. ...
