Re: WatchRecon And WUS

Seems okay so far, but watchrecon isn't picking up listings from the new site yet. i think recon has to do something on their side to get it going again There's a lag of several hours for sales forum posts on Watchfreeks to show up on Watchrecon. Now that they share the same kind of software, maybe...

Re: WatchRecon And WUS

I don’t understand how the people who run the site think that it’s an acceptable format. The pop up ads make it really tough to browse, and without paying fees you can only attach one photo at a time (sales ads). The site has lost ease of use as a reference tool. I not sure which is more hassle for...

How tall is the 42mm 8500? And how tall is the 2500?
I've seen different specs for the 42mm/2500 that have the thickness anywhere from 14mm to 15.5. I don't have calipers, but using a ruler, it looks less than 14mm.

Re: Newbie question on the Planet Ocean Series

Just for reference, this is what a 42mm 2500D looks like on a 7.75" wrist. I've owned a PO xl 2500D and an 8500 xl and prefer the smaller model. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200604/fe9c160e1e71eeb0ebd016f40bef541c.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200604/7f5f3476cfccf317f7855bcd3a732bec....

Re: New in

I used to own a PH200M re-issue and I've noticed some great prices on pre-owned ones lately. I was concerned about the NEX Scratchguard scratch resistant coating on the hesalite crystal. Knowing that the polishing the scratch resistant coating on the acrylic crystals of Max Bill watches would irrepa...

Re: iPhone to Android?

Late to this thread but my two cents... I love Android but think that Google's hardware is inferior to Apple's. I'd go so far as to call it crap, IME. I've had more trouble with my Pixel than I've ever had with previous iPhones. The screen is delicate, the camera went belly up and the charger cable...

Re: Anyone still use a desktop PC?

Got fed up with Windows computers where the virus and firewall software don't play nice with the operating system and went all Chrome. Have Asus chromebox desktop w/ 8gb ram, a couple touchscreen chromebook laptops, and Android phone. Everything works seamlessly. All units have access to Google Play...

Will this clasp fit the SMPc? I have a 2017 model and could use some extra breathing room when my wrist swells. Yeah, that's a guido watch for sure. It's probably a plus that the HEV is labeled "valve," so a guido wouldn't mistake it for the passenger seat ejection button. Elmero, if you're not familiar with what a guido is, see below. https://jerseyshorewhore.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/pauly-d-delvecchio-je...

Re: More WUS Shenanigans...

Last night, I received an inquiry about an Isofrane I have for sale, "Does it have a vanilla smell?" I answered truthfully, "A little, not much." The guy wasn't a newbie, so he should've known better. A better answer would've been, "Duh, yeah!"

It's been quite a while since I've worn a GSAR and always wanted another one. This one just arrived and was the right deal for a five year old watch that was overhauled this past fall at an authorized service center and best of all, it came with the bracelet. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/4981...

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

After dinner tonight, I've scheduled a virtual cigar get together on Google Duo with some out of state cigar buddies, with appropriate alcohol refreshments. I'll probably have one or two wee drams of whisky.
