Re: Ever sold a watch because of weight?

Despite the 42mm case size, the RGM 300 wore like a brick.

Re: Crocs to close remaining manufacturing facilities; executive to resign

I have a love/hate relationship with crocs Love: saved the day at universal studios many years ago when my custom fitted running shoes started killing my feet. I couldn’t walk anymore and all the shops in the resort had was crocs, white ones at that. These became known as the pearls and allow me to...

Re: Crocs to close remaining manufacturing facilities; executive to resign

They are the best house slippers I've ever owned, but I'm not brave enough to wear them in public. Very comfy and durable.

Re: Need a laptop

All of your requirements screamed chrome book to me. 🤔 Yep, Chomebooks are improving with more and more features.. Even if you don't want a touchscreen, many of the newer models can use Google Play Store, so you'd have access to Android apps as well as Chrome apps. Much easier and more trouble free...

Re: Swatch Group Leaving Basel

Trade shows for many industries are getting to be untenable, mainly because of lower attendance of buyers. They're expensive to go to and retailers have to take time away from their businesses.

Re: New Orient Triton Diver

Chuck are you still loving this one? Did you end up getting it from creation or long island? I opted to spend a little more and get it from a reputable stateside AD rather than grey market dealer in Singapore. The price was still pretty reasonable. It's a lot of watch for the money, so yeah, I'm ha...

Re: Doxa 300

What I object to is paying a hefty premium for a logo. Of course the Black Lung releases will have a better resale than the regular 300 Subs, but on the flip side, a new Black Lung release will increase the odds of a better deal on a pre-owned non-logoed version. I got a great deal on my 300 Profess...

chuck that looks great. hey what is the L2L on it?
Terry, I think I read somewhere that the L2L is 51mm. For reference, my wrist is 7.75".

Re: New Orient Triton Diver

Got a Triton in classic black a few days ago. So far, I'm impressed with the quality for value. I think you'd have trouble finding anything comparable in a micro-brand for less than $700. Though it has the same movement as the Saturation Diver, the size is a lot more manageable. Like the OSD 300, th...

They’re also appreciated by the wife & kids. I’ve had one with the Landcruisers for quite a while and my wife and kids (younger ones) love it - mostly because the mattress inside is the same as a bed mattress - while the older kids & I each do individual tents, like Tree Frogs and such. The footpri...

Worn more than any of my other watches, it went to the Omega Boutique on Friday to be sent in for service.

Re: Who Owns Who -

For some reason I thought Citizen and Seiko were recently connected (not sure who owned who as they're both giants) but then remembered it was the recent Bulova acquisition I was mixing up. It has been said the parent of Seiko and Citizen is connected some how. I have never heard of a Seiko/Citizen...

Re: Tudor aftermarket rubber straps

Would it kill these rubber strap makers to provide an XL version too? Isofrane would make me happy if they simply gave us an optional buckle side that was 15-20mm longer. The tongue side could be the same. I believe my wrist (7.75") is larger than yours and I have no issue with the length of Isofra...

Re: New Orient Triton Diver

I've been considering this lately. Seems like an awful lot of watch for the money. Creation has the black and blue models for $317. They have the two tone on Ebay for about $20 more. On the other hand, Long Island Watch now has them for $389 and $409, but is it worth an additional $70 to get an AD b...

Very happy with my older, fuddy-duddy Omegas, but wouldn't object to adding a 42mm 2500d PO.
