Re: iPhone XR or XS/XSmax?

Xs and previously X. I went Xs because I like the form factor and camera zoom. I picked up two Xr for my folks and I’m really impressed with those. Larger Retina display screen, but LED versus the OLED of the Xs. I can’t honestly tell a difference, but prefer the larger size. Another benefit of Xr ...

Re: Watch trading: a cautionary tale ****Update***

lol thanks gents - pretty cool actually. I emailed them yesterday to thank them and ask where I could purchase a booklet for the watch and they said they'd send me one free as well when they returned the watch. SO cool... My kit will now be complete :) Some good deeds go unpunished. Glad it ...

An Uncle Seiko? Neither one of mine have a smell?
Mine's definitely scented. He's got an unscented batch coming in soon.

Fortunately, the scent isn't nearly as strong as the Bonetto Cinturini straps. Those give me a headache. Again, I probably just need to HTFU.

Re: What do you drive???

Got this Volvo XC60 earlier in the year, LOVE it How's the engine? That has the supercharged and turbocharged inline-4, right? That is the top version of the XC90. It combines a Turbo charged + Supercharged 4 cylinder with an electric hybrid drivetrain. What could go wrong? I thought the XC6...

Re: Any regrets from Cord Cutters?

My wife and I haven't had cable, satellite, or broadcast TV for nearly a decade. Between Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, YouTube, etc., there's tons of content to consume.

Caveat: neither of us watch televised sports. That's probably a hurdle to clear if you're into sports.

Re: any apps to find lost phone

Well the iPhone has a few security things I like. The finger print to open the phone sort of makes it useless to a thief and the locator app they have in the phone mite come in handy if I loose it again. Here is how I lost it had to take my Brother who lives 7 miles from me to the VA emergency room...

Re: Seiko SRRY range for women

My wife's into watches, enough so that she notices when I'm sporting a new dive watch, that, to the uninitiated, looks exactly like all the others I own. However, I don't think she'd be into those.

She does have a Seiko 4205-based diver that she wears occasionally, though.

Speaking of Seiko straps, I am pretty impressed with Seiko's new rubber (silicone?) blend and I appreciate how they include tubes in the spring bar holes for security. The Z 22 that came with my SRP777 doesn't have any tubes in the spring bar holes. Is it supposed to have them? I bought i...
