Something to keep in mind: Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's safe. For example, some growers are using plant growth regulators that are meant for ornamental plants, not meant for plants that are ingested or smoked.

I'd hate to be in one of those super slender high rise buildings that are all the rage these days.

I like these bracelets but kinda small. Thanx for sharing Tom
That's my favorite style of bracelet. I wonder if it will fit any other Seiko cases.

Re: Holy Sh!t on a motorcycle!

Roll for sanity - As much as I like the idea of a Rolex, and as shocked as I am by my wife’s change of heart, I don’t really see a Rolex in my future. I just can’t quite get to $10k on my wrist is a good fit for me. Not being judge-y, it’s a purely personal feeling. On the other hand, I’m giving se...

Easy day.
I wish I bought one when they were readily available. :banghead: Hopefully they'll start producing them again.

Re: Any fisherman out there?

When I was a kid, I did a lot of catch-and-release fishing in the non-estuary part of the Hudson River. At the end of my street was a three-mile section of river between two dams. It was practically a lake. I can't tell you how many northern pike and smallmouth bass I pulled out of there. Good times!

6R movements - the R stands for retarded 🥴 At the very least, it stands for " R eturn for service." I had good luck with 6R15s, but my one and only 6R35 was great for a few months, then started losing almost a minute per day. Fortunately it was still under warranty, so I sent it in. It came back ru...

And…6R movements need to be outlawed.
They run great after a service, but why should a six-month-old watch need to be serviced? :banghead:

The blue one looks sharp.

I wonder what the difference is between the 6R35 and 6R55. 70-h PR vs. 73-h PR?

I like that the integrated bracelet is attached with a spring bar instead of a friction-fit pin.

Re: What watch do you keep coming back to?

Let me guess. 6R35 was running very inconsistent and way out of specs. How was it after service? Exactly! I bought it new and it ran great for a couple of months. Then, it started losing time and the amplitude was low (<200º, IIRC). I lost interest in it and put it away for a while. Eventually I de...

Re: New Seiko Thread

Beside size, what really killed it for me is the high polished insert & bezel “teeth”. It lost all of the detail and grip from over polishing. Just like the 6309 vs SPR Turtles. The OGs were finished to a higher standard. Compare the bezel knurling on a 6309 to that of an SRP. Even the early SKX007...

I guess "affordable" is relative, but my SBDX001 Marine Master is nearly quartz-accurate.

Saw a bug like this coming off the highway on my way home yesterday. "I want one of those" rang through my head. It would be fun to drop a modern Subaru engine in a Super Beetle. Horrible swap motor. They overheat like crazy in swap applications…. I’ve messed with several, including one in a 914 an...
