When I was a kid, I did a lot of catch-and-release fishing in the non-estuary part of the Hudson River. At the end of my street was a three-mile section of river between two dams. Very nice! The case reminds be of this Helbros I picked up at an antiques store years ago.

Beside size, what really killed it for me is the high polished insert & bezel “teeth”. It lost all of the detail and grip from over polishing. Just like the 6309 vs SPR Turtles. The OGs were finished to a higher standard. Compare the bezel knurling on a 6309 to that of an SRP. Even the early SKX007...
