They say it's the gateway drug, but I'm not sure if my budget will ever allow me to take things to the next level.
Depends if you're looking for a sports car or more of a GT car. IMHO, the Boxster and Cayman have the spirit of the classic 911.

Congratulations! My brother in law has a Boxster S. Not sure what year, but he bought it CPO a few years ago. Very nice car.

Don't forget to wave as you drive past Southport Beach.

Re: Danny, sell me your Camo Seiko !!!!

That's way nicer than the Batching Ape dive watch. Who did the mod? Loyswatch in the UK. They used to sell on Ebay but I don't see any listings. Yep, I remember Loy. I think he operated out of Cebu City. He's talented. He used to modify 6309s so they'd run backwards. He was also a whiz with case re...

Re: real-world experience of MM

Thanks. That looks really good. I wonder if those would work with the toxic slim fat spring bars. Most likely. I think the "Rolex" bars have 1.1 mm ends and 2 mm center section. OEM Seiko bars have 1.1 mm ends and 2.5 mm center section, IIRC. The Slims are not what I recommend for drilled lug watch...

This is a one watch candidate.
Exactly what I was thinking. Although I’d need a quartz Grand Seiko for the rare occasion I have to wear a suit or tux. And an SKX007 beater. Etc.

Re: real-world experience of MM

every time I wear a NAFT, MM200, etc. I feel like I'm trying to capture the magic of the MM300 in a cheaper watch. Question for you guys: Has anyone tried an aftermarket (Strapcode, I guess) bracelet on one of these? Back when the "Sumo" first came out, I bought one and installed MM hands. I soon r...

Nice watch! I had a Débaufré Ocean 1 that I believe used the same case as the Steinhart. Excellent watch for the money. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v131/myles/Watches/Mark%20II/P8160228-1.jpg I thought this also until MCWW had a mishap and my case got damaged. Don’t think I would categorize MVMT as a microbrand seeing as they were acquired by Movado for 100 million dollars.
I didn't know that. I was just about to comment that these remind me of 1980s Movados.

My wife hates when I refer to things as "hers" rather than "ours". :tap:

Like Henry, I generally use a mouse pad for strap changes. If I have to open the case, I clear off my wife's desk and cover the work area with a sheet of clean paper.

I wonder if the bracelet fits a real gmt.
Probably not. The Steinhart Sub and GMT homages' cases are far from beings clones of the Rolex cases.
