Re: any apps to find lost phone

Well the iPhone has a few security things I like. The finger print to open the phone sort of makes it useless to a thief and the locator app they have in the phone mite come in handy if I loose it again. Here is how I lost it had to take my Brother who lives 7 miles from me to the VA emergency room...

Re: Seiko SRRY range for women

My wife's into watches, enough so that she notices when I'm sporting a new dive watch, that, to the uninitiated, looks exactly like all the others I own. However, I don't think she'd be into those.

She does have a Seiko 4205-based diver that she wears occasionally, though.

Re: Uncle Seiko Chocolate Bar strap

Speaking of Seiko straps, I am pretty impressed with Seiko's new rubber (silicone?) blend and I appreciate how they include tubes in the spring bar holes for security. The Z 22 that came with my SRP777 doesn't have any tubes in the spring bar holes. Is it supposed to have them? I bought i...

oh and that if you buy a watch from him it will probably smell like cigarette smoke also :puke:
I'm surprised you're still allowed to smoke in your own house in England.

I actually like everything about that watch except the hour and minute hands and the bracelet.

Re: Halio Seaforth Three

Winding the movement could be a little smoother, but that isn't due to the crown. I think it is the eta movement itself. Because when screwing the crown down it is perfect. Winding a 2824-2 from the crown is always going to feel gritty. The 2824-2 is basically a manually-wound movement with an auto...

What kind of phone? If it's an iPhone, there's the "Find my iPhone" feature in iCloud.

I like the vintage looking solar tuna. I found one for sale for around $700. This is NOT a 700 watch.
I like the hands on that one. I'm guessing they won't fit the automatic movements.

Re: New MM300 (SLA021/SBDX023)

the 62mas look case even at a quick glance looks like the nicest one here. The sharper finished edges look even nicer than the MM300 in these pictures. Obviously it takes a lot to beat the dial and hands of the MM300 though. It's hard to tell from my shit photos, but I'd say the case finishing on t...

If the Seiko SKX was good enough for Gen. Schwarzkopf, it'll probably be good enough for me too. I also like how the General did dual time zones.
You're going to upset the Seiko Fan Bois. The SKX line didn't make its debut 'til the mid 90s. It's more likely a 7548.

Everyone says the dial is dark blue on these. I'm willing to believe that, but the code printed at the bottom is identical to the code printed on the SKX007 dial.

They're getting a lot of milage out of those hands!

I like the watch, but I'm not into solar or kinetic. I'd rather have a plain old battery-powered quartz.

I don't chase "vintage" anymore. I'd rather have something new-ish that runs right and keeps good time.
