Re: Anyone bead blast Seiko black IP coating?

I have a hunch you'd end up with a "distressed" ion-plated surface, which might look cool. I doubt the bead blasting will cleanly remove the ion plating. Go for it!

Does he still visit here? Thought he didn't... I think he took his ball and went home a long time ago. Did something happen? I wondered why he just stopped posting, I'm sure I missed something. Basically he thought his opinion matter more than others on a subject. So he got pissed and rolled out. I...

Re: impressive digital sleuthing around ginault drama from WUS

So, what's the over/under on the state of Wyoming opening an investigation on this International Precision business entity? I'd venture INTERNATIONAL PRECISION INC of 9526 VASSAR AVE, CHATSWORTH, CA has absolutely nothing to do with this. They're a company that makes parts for C-130s and P-3s. Rath...

I’ve got one I might be listing soon. That price is stupid. However this is my favorite version of that watch.

Re: Car Spotting

I totally agree. I’d really like a Subaru WRX STi. It would be perfect for my 3 mile commute - fun to drive, sporty, awd for the winter. Every time I almost buy one, I think back to how pissed I was to find my civic hit and then decide against it. Finding a nice new car hit would probably give me a...

Case on. Looks brand new again now that I can’t see the damage. How’s everyone like their XS? I bought the 8 Plus as a replacement for both my last iPhone and iPad. Bought another iPad Pro awhile back so a huge phone isn’t such a priority and this phone barely fits my pocket in a slim case. I...

Re: Car Spotting

Lambo SUV, just what you need for the great unwashed outback... Hah. Saw one of these at the beach last week, but didn't take a pic. Looked pretty good, but I'm not sure what the point is if I'm being honest. A Macan S would fill the sporty CUV need for me very well and for a helluva lot less money...

Yep. The Seiko silicone is good, and a huge improvement over the polyurethane they use to use, but Uncle Seiko's GL831US is even better.

Anyone considering a Jeep should really take a look at Dave Smith Jeep in Kellogg, Idaho. I wanted an off-road worthy Grand Cherokee, but I didn’t care for the air suspension, leather, or silly trim stuff that has no real value. My research confirmed that the Laredo E model could be had with an off...

Movie looks fun. As much as I love the tune, Gimme Shelter has to be one of the most overused "hey, it's the 1960's" songs in the movies. Hopefully it's only for the trailer.
Same goes for "Paint it Black".

I saw three of them at the last Mass Cruisers Cruise Night. Meh. They'd make more sense with two doors, a longer bed, and a lower price.
