Re: New Sinn 756 and 757

That's it that I know of. I was just thinking about the awful colabs by Page and Cooper, The Hr Glass and Juwelier Roberto on the U1s.

I like the Herbert Meyer. New model?
A few years ago. It wasn’t popular.

HM does nice colabs with Sinn. Others should take notice.

Re: New Sinn 756 and 757

I don't like any of those. It would be nice to have a solid gray or khaki color dial option from Sinn, but these are a hodge podge. I’ve always been a fan of the 757 Diapal. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180219/44a2eee8093d2ab5b432f5d554a0f02e.jpg Not a fan of the Herbert Meyer. https://upload...

Re: Missed opportunity

Maybe the smart move is to get a 16710 and call it a day? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That would be my plan. Unless you love vintage, or cannot get used to the cases of the newer ones, the modern Rolexes are better on virtually every level. I think the mid to late 90's was the sweet spot for...

Re: Missed opportunity

Do you have a time machine I could borrow??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If I did, I'd buy up a shit ton of snowflakes and red subs. Ironically, I think that watch sat here for a week or two before I ended up trading it. If memory is correct, I listed it for around $4200. I couldn't get used...

Re: Missed opportunity

When did these prices shoot into this stratosphere? About 4 yrs ago I took one of these in trade for a damn Bell and Ross BR02 plus about a grand to the other guy. I guess I'll add this model to the list watches that would've net me a small fortune if I held onto them for more than a couple months. ...

We got some snow this weekend and I added 100lbs of sandbags in the trunk. It helped out tremendously. What kind of tires are you running? Re: Find A Watchmaker: Finally got some traction!

Serious question - how'd you vet these watchmakers? What stops me from signing up as a watchmaker and keeping all the watches that are sent to me and disappearing?
Have you actually used the services of any of these guys?

Re: Find A Watchmaker: Finally got some traction!

It's a nice looking website. I am, however, dubious of the quality of a Rolex Daytona movement service that costs $550 with a three-week turn around time. I wouldn't consider sending my Daytona without a massive number of positive reviews. I wouldn't "go live" without a critical mass of reviews. An...

Interesting. Do I call then send it in? Service rookie here... I did. If memory serves me correctly, they'll email you a work order to place in the box. Re: Breitling Service Needed

If that is all it costs, I need to just go that route. If you have an Aerospace, you should use busa. The movements are finicky and can be destroyed if the battery is improperly taken out. I had ABC watch works do a battery change on one and they ended up breaking the movement. Busa is very afforda...

Hard to beat Uniqlo $60 down jackets using 600 fill real down. They are the BARGAIN leader. Otherwise I would look at Campsaver, Sunnysports, or Steepandcheap for some end of season deals. This thread just indirectly caused me to buy a new Mystery Ranch pack and Patagonia vest from Campsaver. I've ...
