Eliminate the text and it is a winner. I'd gladly be lining up for one.

Biatec Leviathan

Certainly not everyone's taste, but the finishing looks excellent for the price. (825EUR). It is a shame that the lugs aren't tapered. https://www.biatecwatches.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Biatec-Leviathan-03-diving-watch.jpg https://www.biatecwatches.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Biatec-Leviath...

Re: Leasing?

Leasing isn't for me. Kind of like renting instead of being a homeowner. You have nothing to show for it after the payment ends other than rinse and repeat. Bought my Yukon SLT brand new in 2001. Paid it off in 2004. So this April it will be 15 years without a car payment. Doesn't get any better th...

Re: Grand Seiko SBGX117

They are not as easy to find since they sold out almost 5 years ago. Is this the sort of reasonably sized quartz GS diver? Has it really been five years since they released that? I ordered mine in December 2014, shortly after it was released. I bought a SBDX012 at the same time. Holy shit the price...

My account got shut down a few months ago - probably due to inactivity. I emailed them twice and was ignored. Oh well.

Re: ’16 BMW X3 vs. ‘18 RDX

If you decide on the BMW, be advised that the free maintenance probably isn't transferable, and an oil change is somewhere in the neighborhood of $170. I love German cars, but they can be a bear to maintain and repair. It was $100 for an oil change on our previous X1..same engine as the X3. $170 se...

The bezel is different on the renderings. I like the look, but would pass on a carbon fiber-esque dial.

Re: Opinions-first car for new teen driver

Anyone suggesting a modern GTI for a 16 year old is crazy. This. I had a 3 yr old Honda Accord for my first car and in a year I had a high speed chase, multiple tickets, and drove drunk more than a handful of times. I was also a respectful, straight A student and had no previous legal infringements...

It takes a big set of balls to do this and a very little brain. I'd argue that you have to be extremely selfish to do this kind of thing, but mental acumen is very high. It takes a lot of mental fortitude to physically and mentally prepare for a feat like this and even more to plow through fear and...

Also, Jimmy Chin is amazing. As with his other films, I’m sure his work with the camera is just a much as character in the film as the actual people. He’s also a great guy. Met him multiple times at screenings and climbing events.
Agreed. Meru was amazing too.
