Re: 65' VW Bug project

Aww, just gotta love working on rusty bits like that. Living in New England, rusty car parts is just a way of life. Penetrating oil and the ol’ flame wrench are sometimes my most used tools. I also recommend reverse thread drill bits in the event you break a bolt. Do you have access to a blasting ca...

Re: New Sinn x Revolution Collab to be released Monday

Looks really good. And half the price of that new Doxa chrono. Yep, and probably with a future serviceable movement too. I’m boat-poor at the moment or I would be scrambling to get one of these too. The only design element I’m not feeling is the star, but I’m guessing that is the “Revolution” brand...

Spring bars matching the case would be a nice touch with the mesh bracelet.

Re: At last.........incoming....The reveal

Had one myself by way of Ryeguy. Really great watch. Congratulations [emoji106] Sent from my Note8 using Tapatalk I remember that watch! Great GMT! ETA 2893-2 movement in that one. Nice that it is 300 meter rated. I saw a note a while back where some pressure tested one to 800 meters.

This just in! My experience with Seiko has always been with vintage, SKX or SRP (turtle) divers. This is my first “mid tier” Seiko diver and I am truly impressed. Also, as mentioned in most reviews, this watch wears more comfortable (and smaller) than the specs suggest. SBDC061 on my 6.75” wrist (p...

Re: Blancpain Barakuda

I just picked up another boat, so my watch collection is now in “enjoy what you’ve got” mode. I’ll always appreciate luxury watches, but I’d rather take the kids fishing or exploring the coastline than pay what Rolex is asking today. My MM300 is more than adequate. I actually just sold my Sub last ...

Re: sweet new JDM citizen diver GMT

I like it, except the rehaut 24 hour scale is a bit overpowering. They could've done away with the minute markers on the rehaut as they are already on the fully indexed bezel.

As for the traveling GMT question, yes, according to Seiya's video, the hour hand is independently adjustable.

Amen. That crystal is the defining feature of that watch in my opinion. It reminds me of a water bubble on the face of the watch. Very cool.
