If it had a lifetime warranty, good quality, functional Zulu strap and a red tip second hand, I'd buy one for sure!! :fro: Hahaha. Well played. And yes, you know the deets because we shared b...

The Next Watch

Maybe in the future. Black is only made, right now, for operational DOD groups and the “first” black DIVER-1’s are being awarded to a special group next April.

So, Black isn’t an option at this point.

We’re not doing black. It’s stainless. Black would be sometime in the future.

That’s because yours is from the FUTURE, Matt. Of course everything is fixed in 2037 for the new IPhone: it’s not new anymore. Geeezus.

Re: Jack Ryan

It's pretty good, but judging by the effusive praise in this thread, I thought this was going to be another The Wire or GoT. It has a lower-budget/network/non-prestige feel to me than I thought it would. GoT has been a game changer, just like 24 and Lost were. Jack Ryan is definitely not up there, ...

I grew up on a YZ 80, then a couple CR’s, then Honda’s XR500R and a Husky 650. I don’t know anything about paved road bikes.

Re: Kiln Dried Firewood?

With this house I have gone the way of the pellet and it is a pleasant way to go. When I get too lazy (or old) to wheel barrow the wood from the driveway to the back yard I may opt for a pellet stove. What's your experience with pellet stove maintenance? Easy day. It’s been super simple because I d...

Re: Anyone picked up or planning to pick up the new iPhone?

I can't be the only one who thinks $1K for a phone is redonkulous It’s steep for sure. But considering how much people use their phones, it’s all relative I guess. Plus, most normal people think we’re crazy to spend any amount on a watch when a phone tells the time just fine! Yup, this is why I sta...

Re: Anyone picked up or planning to pick up the new iPhone?

One of the best things happened recently and that was the “craze” of everyone hunting Pokémon’s around the world. So you found a CREATED fake thing behind a secure fence in a place I haven’t seen AND YOU TOOK A FUCKING PICTURE OF IT with a date and time stamp with geocoordinates and were kind enough...

Re: Anyone picked up or planning to pick up the new iPhone?

Am I the only one concerned by the fact that Apple collected our fingerprints first, and now is collecting our faces? I don’t know, I’m maybe paranoid but I’ve always avoided Android for privacy concerns, I also never activated the Touch ID and would never activate the Face ID either. To get back o...

Re: Kiln Dried Firewood?

10-12 cord a year for the first 2/3 of my life, and we did the whole process from felling the trees to stacking in the wood shed. I drove a skidder before I drove a car. My first chores after getting off the bus from school were to stoke the fire and fill the wood box. With this house I have gone th...

Not in Seattle yet, but I have an HD antenna that brings all my locals and it works when internet is down. The range on the HD antenna doesn’t work where I am and yes, I bought and tested a half dozen of them. Too many trees, too many hills, too far away. I really wish it had worked though. HD ante...

Re: Physical Oceanography/Applied Physics

I was thinking that if it’s a true SOF “operator” watch it would need to withstand a thousand revolutions around a stripper pole, be visible through a cloud of hookah smoke, survive the fall from being tossed out of a second or third story window with the rest of the stuff during the “break up”, an...
