Re: Suggestions for inexpensive dress watch

I really don't think you need to go farther than the Seiko Presage if you're looking for a legit dress watch at that price range.

Some of these suggestions are just "small watches".

Re: A couple of new UTS LEs

I happen to love the lugs. They fit an Isofrane perfectly. I’m with you on this - owned a few UTS and the lugs were great. Edit: found this old thread with some great pics http://thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13217 (Wu was complaining about the lugs hehe) Ha! Like I said...

Barely wear it, but still enjoy it when I do. http://i.imgur.com/V0k9CZn.jpg Classic piece and now that the blue’s have gone nuts in price, these are taking off too. EDIT: Just realized this is one of the transitional models with the round hour markers rather than the squares - extra coolness point...

Re: Shoulda kept it sealed...

De-bling it. One of my favorite watches ever. I just had the matte treatment to the bezel and swapped the glidelock out for an EZ-link clasp from a Milgauss (brushed finish). Much thinner and more comfortable.

Re: Rolex AD advice

Hey guys. My first kid arrived yesterday and I’d really like to get something special to commemorate the occasion. I’ve decided on an Explorer (214270 mkII). My issue is that I’d like to have the papers dated November of this year for it to be a birth year watch for the little one eventually. I kno...

Hm. Don’t stay in the tenderloin. If you need a cheaper place to stay, you can always venture outside of the city and take the train in.

I usually can find rooms on hoteltonight under $200 pretty easily in the city at any time other than convention weeks.

Whoa, can't believe all of those Terry, and by the way, all of the pics are phenomenal !!! :) Love how you actually get a feel for the watches as compared to the renderings we often see, and it feels like we are seeing them live ! Really is beyond cool that you got to meet so many people, an...

This watch expectation is ruining me on other “value watches” like Seiko, etc... as I expect this will fill that void of the grab-and-go beater completely.

Re: Wind Up 2018 NYC, Seiko boutique

I'm not a huge fan of micros, but I can get behind what a lot of these guys are doing. Obviously Halios works for me, but I'm also pretty impressed with Nodus and Farer for putting out watches that look to be pretty well-built and are unique designs. And though their initial entry has still left a s...
