Re: New iPhone battery case

I used one on my 7 (I still have it - but not the phone - if anyone wants to buy it) and I really liked it.

Haven’t needed it for my XS Max yet, but it’s nice to know it’s available. I’ll see if I can check one out in person later.

Briefcase

You day no Tumi, but I’ve had this one for 15 years and travel a lot. I’ve replaced the shoulder strap and that’s it. The ballistic nylon holds up incredibly well and it’s a classic style unlike a lot of the trendy bags that are “in” for a few years and the “out”. It has a zipper in the middle to e...

This is a LF I can't get behind. Looks like a Bulgari Assioma. Or really any other rectangular watch that nobody wants. If it isn't a Cartier Tank or JLC Reverso, it probably is as desirable as herpes. This goes for Rolex (Cellini Prince), Patek (Gondolo), Lange (Cabaret), etc... I am, however, imp...

Classic Ingy. IWC 3227 https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190116/4fa24ab55ccac1ce4ba78f556fec4361.jpg Gotta try one of these someday. I dig my ingy but would be cool to try the more classic version. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk The Ingy case wears large, so this version is a perfect size.

Re: New IWC Spitfire Collection

I think in house movements are so stupid as it raises prices and servicing costs. ETA really threw people into a panic, but their actions backfired on them as Miyota was ready to pump out as many 9015s as the micro market needed. Now they forced others to put out in -house movements, and yet none a...

Re: iPhone XR or XS/XSmax?

I don’t use a screen protector, but my favorite case by far is the Veil XT from Caudabe. I only use it for the extra grip, as the X/XS is a bit more slick in my hand.

I’ve never used any sort of case for shock resistance, and have never cracked a phone or screen.

Re: iPhone XR or XS/XSmax?

I went from X to XS Max. Love the additional screen space. It’s way more pleasant overall. You get used to the size within a day and then you can’t imagine not having. Can’t think of any drawbacks. I use a bodyguardz case that’s relatively thin and protects up to 12 feet drops. Battery lasts me all...

Switch up! The Omega Ploprof has been a grail/guilty pleasure for me ever since I saw one early into this watch collecting fiasco (which was heavy Omega-centric), and I have owned two (maybe three?) vintage versions (which I still miss), the original steel black dial/black bezel with date remake (w...

I went to one and wasn’t a big fan of the crowd that showed up ;).

That said, we sometimes do a DWC meet. We need to refresh the Bay Area crew list.
