Re: Brice had a huge loss in his family

Haven't been hanging out here much lately, but I saw the news through Terry's Facebook post.

Brice, I'm so very sorry for you and the rest of your family. My thoughts are with you. May your daughter rest in peace.

Re: All the Presidents’ Watches

Our current President told me once, when he was just Senator Obama, that he wouldn't take the complimentary upgrade to First Class on United Airlines so that when he was speaking and campaigning he could say, "I've never even flown first class." Later on, as President, I reminded him of that commen...

Re: All the Presidents’ Watches

Hahaha, I love how Clinton wore his maid's Timex to make the Dems feel good and win poor votes and then after the charade was over he slapped on his JLC NSA. Don't think he was that wealthy before being president. Makes a shitload on books and speaking engagements now. Lots of modern presiden...

Re: WTH Tactico? SBDX012

Here is my analysis of the response in bold. Lousy consumer protection and customer service annoys the crap out of me. We want to remind you that we decided to even out the micro pearl of the fish antenna inside of the metal to protect it. The micro pearl is there and it perfectly glows in the dark...

Are we actually having an argument about whether Nazis were bad?

Or they could have said:

"In assembling the watches, some of the watch dials were misaligned. We apologize for this situation. If you purchased a watch with a misaligned dial, please contact us and we will arrange for you to ship it to us at our expense so that the problem can be corrected."

Re: Movie suggestions!!

Finally caught two I'd been meaning to see. Black Mass - Johnny Depp (as Whitey Bulger) and Joel Edgerton (as John Connolly) were good, but I was lukewarm on the movie itself. It really jumped around a lot and didn't explain various events particularly well. A couple of times it wasn't really clear ...

Re: John Mayer talks the Big Pilot on Hodinkee

I like the BP on his wrist. However, his joyful exuberance at buying a watch that was worn by genuine Nazis committing real life genocide doesn't sit well with me. Strikes me as a stupid kid who can't think beyond the moment. Lots of people give "ordinary German soldiers" who served in WWII a pass ...

No link, but my wife and I saw the Peter Gabriel/Sting concert in Worcester last weekend. Those two old guys can still bring it - terrific show. Lots of old people in the audience. Glad I'm not like them. I was recently at a Pearl Jam concert. There were a lot of old people, and I remember th...

Re: Which is the better

I'm not sure how this is "another WUS post". I was just trying to strike up a discussion about watches. You know, on a watch discussion forum? How is this any different than any other "this or that?" Post here? Y so serious?? I like talking about watches. Don't you?? Jesus, remove sand from vagina,...

Re: one watch

Putting aside something out of my price range, the best I can do it narrow it down to a pre-ceramic sub or SD of some variety. There's no other watch that I've worn that I enjoy more.

Re: Which is the better

Thought about it. If you are going to blow $20k on a watch, why spend the majority of that money on a precious metal, or for Christ's sake, carbon fiber. Get something meticulously hand-made, and who gives a flying rip if anybody recognizes it on your wrist. That YachtMaster screams look at me I'm ...

Re: Which is the better "all-in" watch?

Personally, I'd go with a WG Submariner, but it does cost a little more.

Neither of those really sing to me. I'd go with the Yachtmaster if push came to shove. I much prefer the AP Diver in SS.

Look I know it's a crappy watch but I'm not entirely sure how crappy, if you have minute I know guy who's an expert on crappy watches, let me make a call and get him down here and we'll work it out. And in the meantime, let's all watch Chumly do something stupid, yet endearing. http://www.cnn.com/2...
