Re: 126600

Here's a link to some technical specs from 2017 (assuming they're authentic). It appears Rolex puts AR coating under the cyclops both above and below the crystal.

Re: Coming in 2020. Omega 007 Watch

And, if I wanted titanium, the Pelagos is way better value! Yep... +100 Omega should never be more expensive than Rolex of any similar model anyway. That’s why they’re all on Jomashop at 40% off Do you also think that the Daytona is 2 or 3 times better than a Speedy? Absolutely, and I ow...

Re: Coming in 2020. Omega 007 Watch

Hush, Matt +1  The scalloped bezel, peanut butter cup HEV and skeleton hands kill the Omega for me. Sure, but those design elements are featured on all of the Seamaster 300's (the peanut butter cup being a more recent addition). Right, I'm not saying that the recent addition of these things ha...

Re: Coming in 2020. Omega 007 Watch

I'm with Wu on this one. Partly because I'm a shameless suck-up, but mostly because I think it's a really good looking watch. The price is ridiculous, but it's a Bond watch, and Omega always prices those higher than their normal stuff. Now, if you want to discuss the ridiculous number of LE's Omega ...

Re: Coming in 2020. Omega 007 Watch

I think it looks good. I wouldn't buy it without a date, but the faux-aged lume doesn't bother me. I don't know about "Naiad Lock", but at least that's only on the caseback. https://hodinkee.imgix.net/uploads/images/1575407378398-m4ky4odee6-42426ded0844dca801a7de9dd4c2ac00/L1140302.jpg?ixlib=rails-1...

Re: Nest Hello vs Ring Video Pro

My parents bought us an Alexa, which seemed cool at the time. But once all of the privacy issues came to light, we unplugged it. I'm not into the front door monitors. Just don't see the need, and the privacy stuff bothers me. That said, I assume everyone in the world who wants it has my personal inf...

Re: Musk’s “Blade Runner” truck

I respect a lot of what Musk has been trying to do, but with the way things seem to have been going for him lately, I'm reminded of what happened to John DeLorean (minus the cocaine trafficking, of course). Time will tell, but both Tesla and SpaceX have significant issues right now.

The watch looks fine, but Glycine's been doing GMTs for a (long) while now.
i wondering if they meant to say the "coffee" effect was a first ever
Maybe it's the first time they've done one with a bi-color, "Rolex style" bezel.

The Seiko recommendation is good. A bit over your budget, but it’s worth it for a watch that looks great and will essentially run forever. Worth noting that it can’t be hand wound.

Re: GO NATS!

Of course my Mets just hired Beltran as their manager. He’s knee deep in this. So is Red Sox manager Alex Cora. I don't know that this is like the black sox (gambling historically has a special place of derision in MLB, rightly or wrongly). This is more akin to Bill Belichick's and the Pat's past s...

I somehow just found out about this masterpiece, and it is one of the greatest movies of all time. You can find it on Amazon.

Hair metal, martial arts, cocaine, Miami, ninjas. It's like concentrated 1980's.

The big eye chrono is my favorite of the group. Terrific looking watch, and not too big at 41mm.

They also did a monopusher chrono a few years ago that I thought was pretty cool. I don't see it on their website now, but you can still find it from various grey dealers.

I like a lot of the current Zodiac dive watch offerings. Cool retro vibe and many clock in at 40mm, so not oversized. From the photos I've seen, I do wonder whether the lug-to-lug might be too long for me.

I agree that it looks really good. I know the size is based on the original, but that dial and bezel at 43mm is going to wear huge. I do really like the relative thinness of the case.
