Re: Tudor BB58 Disaster

That AD will probably lose their Tudor and, if they have one, Rolex account. Bad idea to piss off the 800 lb gorilla with social media being what it is these days.

Re: Tudor BB58 Disaster

Saw this yesterday. In hindsight, he probably should have just left it alone when he noticed the comparatively minor scratches when he first received the watch, but I certainly understand his desire to have a pristine watch out of the box. What came back from Tudor was totally unacceptable. Glad he ...

Re: Bespoke Watch Co.'s Series A

Thanks for finding us Tom! You can see a demo of the bezel system at work here: http://bit.ly/2V1VoPn We are a fully funded company with watches ready to ship, and not a typical Kickstarter company. I understand that the use of Bespoke is not the pure meaning of the word (one off). The reason we pi...

Re: So... the new PO

I gotta tell you the amount of interesting watches Omega makes nowadays is amazing. Granted a lot of them are controversial and not for everyone. I honestly think they're overextending themselves with their designs and their LEs, but they've got enough "standard" models to keep people happy. Plus, ...

It’s a bad orange, but a better red than the Rolex ceramic pepsi. :)

Re: Car Spotting

Saw a Ferrari 308 on the road yesterday, but couldn't get a picture. It did put the Magnum PI theme song in my head for the rest of the day, though.

I'm pretty sure the guy who owns it has had it for years. I see it around town every so often.

Re: So... the new PO

Much like Rolex with Red, Omega is probably struggling to get a good shade of orange with Ceramic. Didn't the original 2nd generation Orange PO stay with an aluminum bezel while the Black version was in Ceramic. The orange 8500 was aluminum? I think the orange in the 8500 version was a rubber inlay...

Re: Q Timex 1979 Reissue

It's clearly inspired by a well-known watch, but that's as it was from when it was first released. Part of Timex's thing was bringing popular, expensive watch designs to the masses, so I appreciate the history. I might be a buyer at $100 or less, but not at almost $200. Maybe it will be cheaper on A...

The new snoopy is the worst modern Speedmaster IMO, yet people love it and it sells for $20,000. I'm clearly out of step.
I think collectors are just buying it to have it given where the values have gone.

Re: Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Speedy

I just looked at the underside of that bracelet, and it has a swinging "inner end link-link" like a hollow end link bracelet. If it fits on the old case, I'm going to buy it for my Gemini LE. I think that bracelet is going to be in big demand if it fits the standard Speedy case. Funny - it's the on...

Re: Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Speedy

The subdial picture sucks, but I’m sure some will like it. Exactly. Enough with the space stuff already. We get it. 1st watch worn on the moon. While Omega does lean heavily on the Speedy Pro and it's space connection, it would be impossible that they wouldn't release a special Speedy for the 50th ...

What’s the code at Macy’s.

ESCAPE
It was really easy to use. I put the watch in my shopping cart and there was a prompt with the code at checkout.

Thanks. It was too good a deal to pass up. I think you'll really like it. I wear mine often. Great value. I’ve found myself drifting away from dive watches, and I really like field watches. This offers a nice design at a reasonable price, especially with the discount. Will be a good watch for outdo...
