Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

I’ve literally been in a pair of gym shorts and a tee daily since mid March. Don’t see that changing this year.

Bought Oliver a plate carrier for his birthday; he know thinks he's Ross Edgley
Body armor? Is he in the military?
Probably for CrossFit.

This one from Amazon is fairly cheap and not magnetic.

Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps

I just bought 4 for my IWC LPP. They are hard to beat for what they cost, and they have some odd sizes (21mm lugs on the LPP). All in all, they work for me and the quality is good enough- especially on their Elite rubber straps.

Spotted in my garage. Hasn’t been driven but maybe 3x in as many months, so I think I’ll be putting her up for sale soon...

I need another strap. Cut mine a hair too close when sizing it...

Can you post a link to order a replacement?

That is a Bonetto Cinturini 300 D. Only the clasp is different.
Then I’m glad we’re all talking in the same circle. Lol. Honestly didn’t know that- had one that I picked up in a group of straps. :)

All good points, and what I needed to hear. I can get it for a song and flip it, but don’t like doing that to a buddy.

LE SPB125J1 Sumo

Thoughts on this? Have a chance to grab one for a great deal from a friend.

Picked up a few new straps for the LPP (21mm lugs, FTW!). Loving this piece so far.

Must be a universal thing. All of the Chinese places around us are set up in a very similar way.

Re: Newbie question on the Planet Ocean Series

The 8500 is significantly thicker (think Rolex DeepSea), and the 2500 is about as think as a standard Seiko diver.

Re: Newbie question on the Planet Ocean Series

The 2500 wears much differently than the 8500. Less thick/tall, and obviously less top heavy.

In a similar way, the SD43 wears much better than the DeepSea does. Nearly the same watch, but one is much thicker and heavier than the other.

You definitely can. Many people with wrists smaller than yours have and still do wear that, and much larger, thicker watches.

Newbie question on the Planet Ocean Series

The 45.5mm PO 2500 series is the most wearable large watch (44mm or larger) that I have ever owned. And I’ve owned pretty much everything larger than 40mm under $20k.

This thing just checks all of the boxes for me. If Rolex made a 43mm Daytona with a date (no cyclops), game over.

Re: WRUW 13 MAY 2020

Just picked this up. At 43mm, it fits well and is right in my preferred size range. Now I need to find a company that makes 21mm rubber straps. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200513/df7662df1eae0e54bcffefdffb944ebb.jpg Beautiful. You can always squeeze in 22mm. That’s exactly what I did. Tossed...
