Re: Seamaster Professional Diver 300M Review

Want to like it, but there’s too many things that are “off”; busy dial, weird hands that are too flared/tapered, and the crown are what jump out to me.

Re: Another Omega Speedy Limited Edition: Hodinkee 10th Anniversary Edition

I may be in the minority, but I'd hate to pay over $6K for a watch and have the Hodinkee name engraved on the caseback. Sure, better than being on the dial but I'd still hate it. I'd prefer it if they just put that on the box/paperwork and leave it off of the actual watch. Apparently it hasn't hurt...

Re: Went to two ADs in Sacramento

I think it’s a brilliant move on Rolex’s part. And I’m not complaining about the lack of depreciation, and really appreciation, of my Rolex watches.

Re: New arrival - Blancpain Bathyscaphe Ceramised Titanium

Congrats Nick! A truly special and rare bird. Like you, I was mesmerized by Adam's review and the story about the decision to discontinue the case. I tracked one of these down at the boutique in Chicago shortly after learning of that fact. Told them I was interested, then drove down on my lunch bre...

New arrival - Blancpain Bathyscaphe Ceramised Titanium

Hey guys! Hope you’ve all been well. Just wanted to share this “incoming” since it’s kind of a special one. I’ve wanted one of these since Adam did his initial review back in 2013. I was pretty bummed though because right after these came out, they were quickly discontinued (at least in the material...

Re: 16610LV NOS on davidSW, are people on drugs?

Seems high but when new Sea-Dwellers are $11k, it seems a little more realistic. Watch prices across the board are insane.

I love Speedmasters, but Omega is really watering down its best watch.
Yup
While these are great, I agree. Don’t really like the direction Omega is going these days.

Re: Hodinkee's "One-watch" article

Probably the best thread we’ve had on DWC in awhile... I could do with almost all of my watches as “one” watch at this point, except the X-33, which doesn’t have enough water resistance...but therein lies the problem and why I have 10+ watches; I like ‘em all for different reasons. Wearing the : DSS...
