all i care about is that it looks nice and I can put scotch tape on the clasp.....also does it accommodate 2 screwdrivers on the bracelet links?
And does it have a reverse perpetual calendar feature that is good for 5 months and 17 days?

Re: Physical Oceanography/Applied Physics

I love Google, it’s a crutch for tired memory. I knew there was a simple calc for dynamic pressure of water based on velocity. Very short form example is 69.5 psi is the dynamic pressure of water at 70 mph. So, if you jump out of a car on the freeway into a lake, you’ll see a pressure spike of 69.5...

Re: Trailer Hitch Cargo Carriers - Anybody use these?

Just my experience... Bought one from Lowe's a couple of years ago. It's 60"x22" and can put a travel bag from Tractor Supply on perfectly. It will hold my 12'x12' canopy, golf clubs, beach toys and 4 beach chairs and still have room to spare. Travel to the Redneck Riviera every summer and no melti...

Re: Physical Oceanography/Applied Physics

Gonna take a run at it. It’s interesting to me that we have accepted depth and anti magnetic testing but nothing listed or spec’d for G forces. I look forward to seeing your approach here to watches given that they are not solid state like your armor or helmet/optics. The impact resistance probably...

Re: Dash Cams

Market for these is frustrating as it seems to be dominated by unknown Asian brands and it is tough to figure out what is good. Bought one a year ago for about $120 one it started acting crazy after about 8 months. Not sure why it is so hard. They have a simple job. I have been looking for another.

Re: Kiln Dried Firewood?

I don't specifically, but it would make sense that dryer wood combusts cleaner and more efficiently than wood with a higher moisture content. Would also produce less creosote in the chimney. The kiln drying process will make it very dry, but if you then store it outside, it will re-absorb humidity f...

Re: How Many Watches Do You Have?

I have unsuccessfully tried to be minimalist and sit at about 10 if you count the two vintage that I inherited from my grandfather and the Skagen that my wife gave me 15 years ago. Only 4 or so get any wear though so I guess minimalist by WUS Standards.

cool watches but that exposed date wheel confuses a simpleton like me
It's not a date wheel, it's the UTC time.
like i said it "confused me"
I've actually never liked exposed date wheel, but I really like the exposed UTC time wheel.

leave off all the oversized text (i guess they couldn't make the logo any bigger w/o hitting the 1 and 11 markers) and it's not bad. nothing special, but not bad. is it me or does that "brushed" finish look very coarse? it may just be grainy photos. Yeah, at first glance it was generally decent loo...
