Reminds me of how the French would rather convert surplus wine reserves to Vinegar rather than sell it for a discount and cheapen the concept of French wine.

I like this one also SNE497P1
Great looking watch. I love this classic Tuna hand design, it is a damn shame that they abandoned them on the new Quartz Tuna line.

Re: Thoughts on the Bremont Supermarine S301/BK

Brett, I'm on your list for a BB58 and considered the S301 as I love the S500 but the size and thickness is a no-go for me as I want a daily wearer. S301 ticks a lot of boxes. Great Bremont case design. I like the satin bezel insert. Something about the dial just reads too flat and simple for me. Pe...

Re: Damn you Urban Gentry!

Your wife is right. That watch is horrible and for the money, the Oris is much better value. Now I have to disagree with two people. ;) Value is a personal thing. Anyways the hardened case makes it better value for me. I am tired of scratchy stainless or titanium. Well if that’s the case you might ...

Of course, the Germans nail it, although I believe Sinn has their own standard.

What about on the monster? What do you use as a visual clue for the 43, 47,28, 32, 17 minute marks. Your interpretation seems to only support my conclusion that it is a poorly written spec. One could easily argue that using the dial minute marks is sufficient to determine that minute mark your on t...

Re: New 2018 Seiko SPB077/079

I would bet money that these share a bezel insert with the 053/051 twins. This is 44mm, but the extra 2mm is likely all in the case bulge. Hands, chapter ring and bracelet are obviously shared and I would guess the dials are interchangeable based on the near identical date window.

It is wrong about Tudor being owned by Rolex. I believe they are both sister companies owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation.

Still Speedy for me, but I confess that I've never taken the Speedy to the beach (that's the PO's work, or any other beater I have at the moment. Agreed. My Speedy has been on my wrist for at least part of almost every day for well over a year. It never gets old as I enjoy switching it up between N...

Re: Speedy Tuesday Ultraman

Considering that a regular Speedy is 3400-3500 with your name on the card from TRF this 7100 dollar price becomes insane since I'm sure there's no discount to be had on this one. You could probably get those mods done for less than 1K :) That is what I was thinking. $7100 gets you two Speedy Pro's....

Re: Speedy Tuesday Ultraman

I wasn't gonna do it, as I like the original Speedy Tuesday watch more. But this thing has a DON bezel, and a true step dial, as well as the beveled subdials, and old-school Omega logo and Speedmaster font. Winner in my book. I don't understand why these don't come on bracelet, though. Regular Spee...

Got talked into getting a 3-row a couple yrs back by my soon-to-be ex-wife. Not too many body on frame w/3rd row. Still wish I had bought a Taco like I wanted, but I wouldn't be able to stash my fishing poles against the headliner like I do with the Pathfinder https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180...

I can already picture the WUS shitshow that will explode weeks after delivery when everyone's watches are rusty.
