Re: Yema's Superman 63 and Flygraf Pilot

Superman doesn’t look bad. Nice size. The macro photos of the case aren’t doing them any favors though... finishing looks a little crude.

Re: BB58 Blue is in!

Congratulations I like the blue they chose Does it come with the new blue/silver nato too ? Tudor stopped "throwing in" the nato a couple of years ago. My guess is that this is no different - you have to choose bracelet, leather, or nato. Crown and Buckle Chevron straps are pretty close. Not made o...

Re: New Tudor coming

If I have to be picky i find the hands a bit too long. They’re probably using the same hands of the regular BB? The hands extend to the painted ring around the perimeter of the dial, just like in the original 1958. The 41mm version's hands extend to the same ring, so they must be unique hands to ea...

Re: New Tudor coming

I think they nailed the shade of blue. Tudor can milk the 58 line for the next few years and sell a ton of watches. Assuming they will eventually get around to an all black/silver version, GMT, etc... Nice modern version of this. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1104/9180/products/DCS_3349.jpg?v=15...

Re: New Tudor coming

The BB58 is setting a longevity record for me, two years of near daily wear, which for me means it's a keeper. I like the new blue one but it wouldn't make sense for me to have both in my tiny collection. Some watches just work. The Sinn 556i is, somewhat surprisingly, getting most of my wrist time...

Re: Sinn U50 photos

I don’t like them at all, but I think it looks particularly bad here because the watch is too small for you. I appreciate the honest opinion. I’m still undecided on size, but unless there is a titanium U1 coming, those are just too heavy for my comfort. Any more, I don't really care how a watch "lo...

Re: New Tudor coming

Boring sells. Look at people’s taste. Most people buy bland crossovers SUV’s. Live in beige vinyl houses in subdivisions similar to their neighbors, Etc.... People like to think they want to be unique, but in the end we are herd animals.

Tudor will sell a shit ton of these.

Size looks perfect. Super excited. Sounds like the all Tegmented versions won’t be ready until later in the summer. Mine is all tegimented. It’s the tegimented bracelets that will take longer. Sorry. Yes that is what I meant by all tegmented, bracelet + watch head. How is the weight vs the Sub? I w...

Re: HEPA Filters

I design hospitals for a living and would be a skeptic on those units, assuming your goal is to reduce the risk of COVID. It might work in a small space to reduce dust or allergens though. Do you have an open office, or an enclosed office? In the HVAC world they use CFM (cubic feet per minute) to de...

Normally I’d be pissed that you bumped an 8 year old thread, but this brought back some good memories.
Also a reminder of how much Photobucket screwed us all.

Re: Best source for SKX sapphire crystals and ceramic bezel?

DLW is great and they mKe recommendations on comparable crystals with their bezel inserts. I don’t mod any more but always preferred a flat insert like stock. The tapered Rolex style inserts stick out too much on the inside and leave a weird gap between the insert and crystal. Only looks good with a...

Re: when does something become vintage?

I’d say 25 years. Yeah 25-30 years feels like a minimum. I think most Swiss companies made the switch away from Tritium in the late 90’s, so tough to consider Luminova watches as vintage. This came up when I was searching for 5 digit Sea Dwellers recently. They were made from 1988-2008 and older on...

Re: Some Comparison Shots of the New Omega Seamaster Bond Ti

I wasn't a fan of that watch on the bracelet, but on that tan nato it looks incredible! Congrats Rob! I agree. I wish more companies would do their Ceramic in matte (cough Rolex cough) like the Pelagos and this one. This is actually aluminum (which is a good thing for me). Really? That rocks - I am...
