VW released an electric buggy concept last year as well. Would be cool if they took something like this to market. With the skateboard electric chassis, it wouldn't be that hard to make. I saw a civic type R today. It was awesome looking but really really quiet. I want either a CTR or a Subaru STI, but the lack of sound on the civic was really disappointing. i do not know. everyone and their mother here has an exhaust on their sti/wrx's they sound like shit imo. :banghead: i like t...

Welcome. Seiko 5's tend to be less expensive and the sports watches usually don't have screw down crowns or ISO ratings for diving like many of the regular Seiko's have. WR is less, etc....

I've come very close several times in picking one of these up. Hard to find in good condition that isn't either a crazy price, or without many of the bracelet links.

I agree that the dial feels a bit too small. Looks nicely crafted though and at least they got the screws aligned correctly.

Re: Rolex: Over polished lugs?

So uhhhh... genuinely curious here. What's the problem with polishing? Are you not supposed to polish a Rolex if it gets scratched? Does a polish make it less valuable? Rolex's don't scratch, they "Patina" and anything you do to remove the magical factory metal from the watch will make you forever ...

I’m with Jacob. WTH are with the photos? I can take better shots with my Nest doorbell...holy hell. If you are selling a relatively expensive watch, give the buyer quality photos. My first thought also. The iPhone 3 that I had 10 years ago took better photos. What the hell is wrong with people.

My research tells me that a standard Aqua Terra watch head weighs about 75 grams. Has anyone ever strapped one of those on and thought it would be so much better if only they could shave off 20 grams?

Very convoluted system. I hope you guys do realize that "Made in America", especially when touted by niche product makers, is nothing more than marketing.
Yes. I believe the protected text is “Made in the USA”. “America” is a broader term and not necessarily a country. Maybe their loophole?
