They did an excellent job with the new smaller movement to get that side profile.

Re: Timex & Todd Snyder's Beekman

Those are cool, as are the other Todd Synder collabs I'm now learning about. I can't decide which colorway I like better, but they're so cheap - why not have both, right?

Re: WRUW 15 Aug 18

Just received my PeltonWatch Sector with silver dial. I’m gonna have to do a mini review on this soon. It’s really awesome. Can’t believe how great a job they did with their first in house [emoji631] case [emoji41][emoji123] can’t wait to see their new Genta inspired watch. https://uploads.tapatalk...

Re: any datejust owners here?

The DateJust is a classic. It's the Rolex my father bought in the early 80s (I remember being there, along with my mom). He had the dial changed out to blue with a service at some point maybe 10-15 years later. Then he unceremoniously traded it in for a discount on a 41mm DateJust, around the time w...

I kinda like the 3 overlaying the edge of the day/date window, instead of chopping off the number.

Hadn't heard of Farer until this thread. Those GMTs are cool. I was considering the silver dial Ponting today, with the "jeans" blue rally style strap.

Anyway, my WRUW for today:

Re: ‘Still Can’t Believe It Worked’: The Story of the Thailand Cave Rescue

Another NY Times article said that the rainy season was supposed to start a week after their trip, but was forecast to rain day-of. The boys had been in those caves before this outing too it said, so sounds like they were at least familiar with exploring. Also, they had to retreat further in to avoi...

‘Still Can’t Believe It Worked’: The Story of the Thailand Cave Rescue

I'm sure many of you have seen various news reports about the Thai cave rescue, but this article is the most complete I've come across, with many details about this astonishing rescue effort.

Re: 1st Tudor BB GMT hits Grey market

From my research, Tudor stopped including the nice nato/cloth straps when they switched to in-house movements. That's why they show all three versions on the Tudor website now, with leather and nato references at the same price, and bracelet is a little more (of course).

Re: New ETA Black Bay

From my research, 2016 is when Tudor updated the BB with in-house movement and cosmetic changes. That also means the blue bezel ETA version was only made between 2014-16.

Did they just have it in stock from yesteryear and never sold it? Interesting that it was sold so recently new.
Yes, two of them. This blue one and the red bezel version, both ETA. Then I saw the same two at another dealer recently. Maybe being non-bracelet is why they have been sitting unsold.
