Re: Seiko SKX Discontinued (?)

One would have thought Seiko would have upgraded the SKX to a 4R35 and put a Prospex logo on the dial. Who knows, maybe Seiko will rerelease it in a few years. I hope Seiko does that. They will probably release it again in 10 years: LE of 1000 48mm case Unregulated 8l35 movement $8000 LOL, that's t...

Re: New SKX007 Variants

The new SKX look alike has drilled lugs. Not sure why they didn't just upgrade the movement and drill the lugs on the SKX. Probably good it sold out before I saw this. Great looking watch. I had one of the originals, one of those "never should have sold it" watches.

Re: 65' VW Bug project

That's so cool. I love VWs. I had a Beetle when I was a teenager that I think I paid $60 for. It was a beater, but you couldn't kill it, it just kept driving. All these years later, I just paid off my Passat, so I guess I'm still a VW guy.

Really like the case, but not the dial. I've still yet to find a Squale I like better than the 1521.

Re: Junhans Max Bill Chronoscope Anthracite

Great looking watch. I've always liked these Max Bills, and have been tempted to try one, but like you I just never wearing dressier watches and end up selling them quickly. Great details on this one, only thing is I'd wish they hadn't coated the acrylic crystal, that seems odd given that untreated ...

Re: Tropic Straps

Uncle Seiko has a tropic style strap just as good for 39 bucks 79 seems high for what you get. I have the 19mm uncle seiko tropic on my Seiko 6105 and comfortable you can get 2 for the price of one. Not much of a discount only a few bucks wtf. I bet some one bought the name tropic or reregistered t...

Re: New SKX007 Variants

These look cool, but if I'm not mistaken these are 100m WR, so not really a one to one replacement for the SKX. Maybe the SKX really is being discontinued now, and I guess the NAFT takes it's place as the entry level diver? Oh, and Hoppy, if they did make a no-date I'd buy one instantly. At lease th...

Re: Blancpain Barakuda

I just picked up another boat, so my watch collection is now in “enjoy what you’ve got” mode. I’ll always appreciate luxury watches, but I’d rather take the kids fishing or exploring the coastline than pay what Rolex is asking today. My MM300 is more than adequate. I actually just sold my Sub last ...

Re: Blancpain Barakuda

I love this one...but at $13,400 USD :( That's less than a ceramic LV Rolex costs these days, and like $10,000 less than a GMT2. I'm not sure this one is particularly expensive in the current scheme of things. It’s sad we have to preface it with those terms. It’s lunacy price wise. Are there enough...

I really like the black variant. I’m certain I don’t have the wrist for it tho [emoji31] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The black version (BJ7110-89E) looks pretty good, and 43mm in titanium isn't that huge. Being titanium makes it smaller? No, but it makes it lighter. And, yes, I see t...
