Re: Long term car ownership
Our 06' Saab wagon is at 218k. Kid drives it these days. We have owned since 2009. Yes we had to do some upkeep to it over the years.

Re: DWC >> Sharkfin - who's following the trip?
Hola who remembers me? 😅 been offline for a bit. Still dig watches. Life took a detour. Got into edc gear for a minute. I got lots of catching up. 😅 Rebooting my return trip finally. Heading north from Mexico-US-Can. In the Cancun area and slowly riding north. Damn forgot how to post pics. Lol. Dan...

His kids didn’t design this. My friend Mike did. Been working on it for a bit, changed suppliers and manufacturers. He is intent in helping keep the brand alive. This is gonna be a good start. Love this watch. Cool, good to know! I had heard his kids took over the brand. His kid didn’t want to do a...

A new station from George Sherwood which will utilize 75mm concave scientific lenses from amazon. I procured a nicely decorated (unworking salvage) Hamilton pocket watch movement, he surrounded it in fordite, and wrapped it all in ambrosia spalted maple, which will patina nicely: https://i.imgur.co...

I heard Pender is amazing. Where is the area you are staying now on the water? It looks beautiful. My place is on Bowen Island. It's a 20 min ferry (every hour) from West Vancouver. My house is on the west side of the Island, boat launch (rocks) is a minute away, so many places to fish! That sounds...

Re: Any fisherman out there?
I do not fish as much as I use to. I did a bunch of it in Maryland, Louisiana and Georgia. I typically have used lures for my type of fishing. Not much of a fly fisherman I am afraid. I’d love to learn how to fly fish…float around in a belly-boat…it looks peaceful. Fly fishing on a fast river is a ...

Caught 4 on it this morning in the lake i've never caught fish on using a top water method (having tried many times). Apparently this lure is quite the rage in Australia and Japan, and starting to get a ...
