Maybe a dumb question, but can I assume you could test the timing of a movement on a timegrapher to get an idea of its performance before buying?

I realize it would probably be different after a finished install, but just wondered.
Yes, Duarte can test it.

I totally understand. We have 8 chickens, but now we are down to one dog. The other two passed this year. It is tough for sure.

Re: Duarte has a NE15 for sale

Been more than happy with Duarte’s work. Switching the problematic 6r15 for this might be worthwhile for those wanting auto, but I’d source the venerable 7c46 and do a full swap with Duarte instead. Not sure it would fit? But if so sell the complete 6r15 outright. Someone will buy if the price is r...

Re: Duarte has a NE15 for sale

My SARB has the 6R15D. It’s a bit more consistent when worn than my previous ones, but it still loses time like crazy until it gets to full wind. I love Seiko’s style at this price point, but I’d buy another Hamilton with the 80 Hr power reserve over another 6R15. Really want another Khaki and ever...

I must be new but what's wrong with 6r15 anyway?
I've had shogun for a few months and other Seiko watches with that movement and didn't notice anything
They are hit or miss on reliability and accuracy. The newer D versions are improved if I recall.

Re: Duarte has a NE15 for sale

Tempting, and he's told me he can do a swap, and then use the signed 6r15 rotor from my erratic movement. Would be cheaper, and faster, than a service. definitely a better option. and this movement doesn't have the issues the og 6r15 does have Really? I always thought they were exactly the same, ex...

Thank for posting that video, terry. Much appreciated.

I noticed he had nothing to say about the crown. Good to know.
He did not and Pat is a very thorough reviewer.

I like the solar one. Patrick from Take Time said he loves the one he has. And he says is compares quite nicely to his 015 for the price point.
