For some reason I thought Citizen and Seiko were recently connected (not sure who owned who as they're both giants) but then remembered it was the recent Bulova acquisition I was mixing up. It has been said the parent of Seiko and Citizen is connected some how. I have never heard of a Seiko/Citizen...

I can't help but wonder – with all the new rubber strap makers cropping up (a'la Everest), aren't these all getting squirted outta the same moulds somewhere in either Italy or Switzerland? I just grabbed a "Zealande" strap for my SMPO via Watch Obsession, and it's basically identical to the Everest...
