i'm kinda diggin' the new BASM. bezel/case interaction looks great  fitted endlinks and lack of shitty crown guard really cleans up the mess, too
It is finally starting to look good to me.

Re: Biatec Leviathan

I do not like the case design on this one at all. I did see one of their dress watches a few years ago at Wind Up and it was gorgeous in person. It was this one.

Re: Monta Atlas GMT

Looks well executed, but there’s nothing compelling about it. Kinda how the Oceanking struck me in person. Couldn’t complain about the finishing at all, but there just wasn’t anything that I really loved about it. Probably just a personal preference thing. I tend to like weird watches. valid point

Judging by the photo that showed a small gap, I’ll guess 20mm. They probably used the 19mm strap on the display model.
the pics I posted above the strap fits correctly

This thing is bland as hell. The no-date OceanKing is hot, though.

SW300 and bent GMT hand, along with bland design - 3 strikes. Nope, not remotely interested here.
I like the 330. Have you heard anything negative about them? Now the 200 I do not like.

Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

The folks who really made money on "vintage" Rolexes, etc. were the folks who bought them brand new in the 1960s and 1970s (and maybe 1980s) and never had them serviced , so they kept the original dials and hands intact basically out of sheer laziness or because they just didn't care. I use to call...

I'm not feeling it. It's not bad, but it's just... bland.
I think they took the comments regarding the Triumph design and eliminated the numbers off the dial to make it more bland. I personally like the numbers. But in this configuration I am not sure i would have.

Re: Monta Atlas GMT

I just noticed these have that same weird bent GMT hand. I know there is precedent for this, but it still looks like an inelegant, hack, solution. If anything I would think this is a harder solution than what the other option is. I like it. Because they way the watch actually had raised markers wit...

Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

16800 is a great watch. I highly doubt you'll lose money on it. I'm holding out for a matte dial in great shape. That would have been a great buy five years ago. I turned down a full set mint unpolished matte 16800 with caseback sticker for $4500 because it wasn't my birth year. I now someone...

Re: WRUW 20 March 19

The '68 re-issue - had a 6159-7001 once, and always regretted selling it. This is very close to the original, only without the hassles of a vintage watch. Still find the 36,000 bph sweep mesmerizing. This is on the 19mm strapcode, fits perfectly. sla025.jpg Seth that is a dope watch. congrats on it...
