Re: Hamilton’s latest Khaki Navy Scuba

I really like it. Would like a matte ceramic bezel though.
Might see if I can get one in hand for review and if I like it wait until it hits grey market to grab one.

Re: Tudor Releases New Watches April 7th

Silver B58 is interesting. Wonder how it’ll hold up being softer. Will it darken like silver jewelry? https://media.fotki.com/2v2aUg4EzxAqZad.jpg All depends on what they did to the silver. They could have used palladium or rhodium to help with tarnish, but will still be much softer than steel and ...

Re: Bulova Oceanographer Devil Diver?

They are ok. They feel like an inexpensive micro in my opinion.
With the 8200 series movement and kinda janky bracelet, they are way overpriced. At around $309-$350 would be most I would pay, if you really love the design.

Re: New Wolbrook Skindiver

So, the 8315 is a revision of the 8215, if I understand correctly. Wasn’t the 8215 the movement that always has stutter issues? Yes. This one still has it as well, due to the indirectly driven second hand. This does hack and hand wind, and has a longer power reserve (60hr), but the annoying stutter...

New Wolbrook Skindiver

That's pretty cool Tom. I'm curious why the orange one says Douglas on the dial and the rest say Wolbrook? This is a revived brand- or more specifically the name. Two different versions- professional which uses a hesalite crystal and the automatic (both are automatic), with sapphire. Douglas was ap...

I love this 40mm green dial. I’m not sure why green is so hard to get right. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210314/017d4961c29d841be909a94ad237e405.jpg Where’s this green one from Chris,? Re: What do you drive???

I'm in transition mode as my Camry will be adopted by my youngest in a couple of months which will take him through high school and college if he keeps up on maintenance. (My oldest adopted or Honda Pilot and mom replaced it with her Highlander.) Which means dad is in the market again and soon will...

Re: New Oris Aqius Cherry Red and Big Crown ProPilot TLP

It’s very red. Oris does love those integrated bracelets / 12mm lugs. Well that’s the Aquis. Change that and give it normal lugs and bracelet with end-links, it will look a lot different. While there is a 100 different versions of an Aquis now, but that design is what sets it apart from all other r...

Re: Synchron 70’s Military Homage

Despite the weird controversy going on with Doxa and Synchron, I have to say I prefer the original model. The new one Synchron has put out doesn’t have the crown sunk into the case a little like the original and I’m not a fan of the patina lume on this one at all. They should have went with C3. Othe...

It’s not the same case. It’s very similar obviously, but not the same, just a cheap copy. (Much like the Steinhart example, it’s not the same at all). Care is actually different and not as round, bezel is different, bracelet completely different. It has the roughly same look, but won’t have the same...

I am really really digging that, I just wish they put sapphire on it. If they had, I would have bought one already.

Re: 2021 Ford Bronco Release - 7/13

I can’t believe they put a 3-banger in most of the Bronco Sport models. Because these sport models are a completely different demographic. First off, they are very small. So if you want good gas mileage in a vehicle that looks miles better than an escape, that’s what it’s for. If you go fully loade...

I like Apple Smart Keyboard (the magic keyboard is only for the newer iPad Pro (11” and above) But you need a back case plate for it as it doesn’t wrap around the back of iPad. You get used to the typing on it but it is small and and no backlight and no trackpad either. These are the back cases I’m ...

I love most of this model, but that green dial would be the one that would get my money, especially on the bracelet.

so it's a ceramic bezel insert with a sapphire crystal on top of the insert? I'm not overly familiar with sapphire bezels but is this common? I don't like the writing on the inner chapter ring. Not sure why they feel the need to do it just because Rolex does. Blue dial looks nice. Wonder how long b...

Looks great, but 21mm lugs? Is that what the original had? The good news is Hanhart OEM straps are excellent quality. How about the length; I seem to recall the one on my Pioneer was snug; but could be wrong. This was the Pioneer one on my 7 1/2 inch wrist, which just fits. I should be getting this...
