Re: WRUW 23 June 18

Trying the SD43 on rubber! The light can really darken or lighten the dial.

And the half link was about $200 or more. Had one for all three of these -- and needed it for a better fit.

Re: Thoughts on Vacheron Constantin Overseas?

So here are wrist shot comparisons of the 15202, 15300 and 15400 from when I owned each. Started with the 15400 and really liked it, but it was a bit too big and heavy for me in the context of an elegant watch and getting it around the same time as the SubC and glidelock, the SubC would win for comf...

Re: Thoughts on Vacheron Constantin Overseas?

So as someone who has had all three of the APs I will pull some compare wrist pics, but for what it is worth I loved the 15300 much than the 15202 and 15400.

SD43 again today. https://i.imgur.com/s9XDpXB.jpg Looks good, Rob. Now that you've had it a while, how would you compare it to other Rolex divers you've owned? I like it a lot. On bracelet, it is definitely lighter, thinner and more comfortable than the DSSD without sacrificing much wrist presence,...

Re: Thoughts on Vacheron Constantin Overseas?

Have had versions of all three. I really liked the blue VC Chrono I had a year or two ago. They are a bit bigger and heavier than the AP RO (but much smaller than the ROO) and PP. To me, the VC Chrono wears like a slightly bigger/heavier Sub C without the glidelock. I like the look of the second gen...

Re: WRUW 12 June 18

Switch up! So my fairly lofty hopes for the BP Mil-Spec were dashed in large part due to the friction pins that made it impossible for me to remove the OEM sailcloth strap myself, and then the sailcloth strap was too short for my not exactly huge +/- 7.3 inch wrist -- so basically a double whammy on...

Re: WRUW 9 June 18

Starting out with this one. Going to see about changing straps this morning. This one has friction pins. I am hoping it will be OK to do (did it with the trilogy years ago), and that some of my skinny springbars will work with the drilled lugs. http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/ww20/RALAustin/July%...

Re: New Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Ocean Commitment III Limited Edition

Poke ball is here. A couple more pics in the WRUW thread, but a quick wrist shot. Will take some comparisons with the other BPs and Subs, etc... this weekend. Given that I wear the Pateks, DaytonaC and SubCs to work 95% of the time and love my two Doxa 300s for ease of wear and comfort, the size wor...

Re: R.E.D Friday - 6/8

Switch up! I have been thinking of moving one or more bigger/heavier watches after a couple months of routinely grabbing the smaller or lighter BP Bathy in ceramic and JLC Tribute, and have had my eye on the 40mm Blancpain Mil-Spec for some time, but the prices were/are crazy. I owned the older 40mm...

Re: New Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Ocean Commitment III Limited Edition

Very interesting, but not a fan of that logo. I actually have Mark's poke ball one coming in later today as I have been wanting something smaller with the AP Diver and three larger BPs in hand (two 45mm Sports and the 43mm BP Bathy). I owned the trilogy version years ago (which is the same case) so ...
