Re: Korsbek Hydro Explorer

The forums r flooded with chinese fullswing watches, Not that there's anything wrong with that, fullswing make great watches for the asking price. But it makes it harder for brands like korsbek, Aegir to sell their watches. They need to get their watches into retail, so people can actually see and f...

so nice, LW has always been my benchmark of a microbrand. Unique, like nothing else out there. And they do sell a cool story to go with. Congrats, awesome watch! :headbang:

Re: The making of a Royal Oak bracelet

i think i will get plummet if i say this  but how do u think the china factories are doing their bracelets? they might not have the ultra xray machines AP uses but everything else is hands on labour. Take away the emo background music in the vid, u get a normal bracelet assembly pic, no? :m...

Re: Is there a market for Helson garden lamps?

i dun believe fullswing/helson or anyone will let you visit their facilities, they don't like their sources exposed. Fair point, why would u let yr competitors have the upper hand. Hence why brands like Aegir r an abnormality, todd open sourced his business plan n let the buyers decide if its worth ...

Re: Is there a market for Helson garden lamps?

is helson even a real person? i mean has anyone spoken or met or has ever surfaced on the forum anyway? my guess he's probably a front for fullswing hk. Funny how a phantom watch brand can procure so much attention. Only on WUS.

Maybe a better designed dial/hands set will be better, but the case looks good to me. The crown is very special. Kudos to helson for doing something different.

Re: Early contender for ugliest watch of the year

i kind of like it. When i look at a watch from a microbrand, i give points for innovation. This steinhart is inspired by the iconic BBS LM wheel. Very detailed, from the dial, side cuttings in the case to the fitted and tire tracked rubber strap. i would put this watch as the most innovative watch o...

Re: dievas vortex OR helson gauge 1000

i doubt any of the chinese made watches are individually tested for WR. They r built to withstand their rated WR on paper during the engineering drawing stage, so if everything is assembled in order, they should do what they r spec-ed for. Both watches the dievas n the helson are so different, pick ...

Very cool watch! much more wearable then the original gauge! im pretty sure helson is a proxy name for fullswing hongkong. They r slowly taking over the microbrand arena. Quality watches at a an afforable price, sounds like the perfect recipe.

Re: Resco Bullfrog is available - be nice on WUS

Common people, with all smoke blowing amongst the watch brands, u can't really blame resco for doing this. imo watches r luxury items and luxury is marketing, every watch needs an angle, just as uts 'home-made' cases, Aegir/Prescher, lum-tec LUME etc2. As i know resco is a real SEAL, why shouldn't h...

Wow.......whats Ironic there is the one case has the same looking bezel as one of the Orcas...... But he did say the H2O Orca will be held in by screws for the case.[/quote] im pretty sure the japy is what 'inspired' them. They borrowed a little form uts. dial from luxor, crown richmille etc2. Re: H2O Orca. New watch with interchangeable cases

Looks awesome! this is wat i meant when i say makers should think out of the box! Not a totally original concept though. JAPY watches had this concept 10yrs ago. But i like the h20 much better and the inhouse cnc sounds intriguing. Good job H20! pic from wus http://forums.watchuseek.com/attachments/...
