Re: Speaking of ipads
Well, If you had a Nexus tablet I would tell you to just plug your device to your computer, access your music folder, find the file you want and copy it out. Yep, that easy. I once tried the trick on Apple and the way they obscure the location of media files is downright insane.

Re: Nice to see high end manufacturing returning to MURRICA!
a hundred million dollar investment in high tech manufacturing isn't as big as it sounds. That plus apple said it wasn't exactly them who would be building in the US. It sounds more like they will be securing a contract so their supplier can open a US factory and build products here. The rumor is th...

Re: Evernote replication when Evernote is blocked at work
I prefer to use Google Tasks, and add a tasks client to my work desktop. The client is web based (essentially a bookmark) so my work doesn't block it. would that help you?

Re: to buy or not the new ipad?
I have yet to find a tablet of any sort that is a laptop/desktop replacement. They are complimentary devices, but each has unique characteristics that make it much better at some tasks than the other.

Found a perfect Nexus 7 Case...
I'm not affiliated with this seller in any way. I love the Nexus 7 Tablet, but have found that finding solid accessories for it can be a pain in the rear. the official ones are few and not terribly good, while a lot of the after market ones are more of the generic 7" tablet variety. Wanting to find ...

Re: Interesting review of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
I have to agree with that article. Anyone who wants an Android tablet right now, should look no further than Asus. Their stuff is high end, very well made, comes preloaded with actual useful apps, and runs Android as Google intended.

Re: Ergonomic Mice
I've never used one, but a couple of women here at my office use them and they swear by them. According to them it really reduces wrist stress. The downside is that you'll end up using your whole arm to move the mouse, instead of just your finger tips. Whatever you are comfortable with I guess.

Re: So I Test Drove a Nexus 7...
Gabe do you think tablet prices will continue to come down? I have a Samsung tab 10.1 that was pretty expensive so I would love to pick up something cheap for my 5 year old to play with. will we be looking at sub $200 tablets with reasonable amounts of memory soon? In the long term, the Answer shou...

So I Test Drove a Nexus 7...
So I Test Drove a Nexus 7 http://blogs-images.forbes.com/roberthof/files/2012/07/nexus_7_banner_0021.jpeg So yesterday, after many weeks of looking for a retailer with a display model of the Nexus 7 for me to test drive, I finally found one. As luck would have it, the retailer is a staples just dow...

Re: Cheap android tablet as a network media streamer?
I was going to say that on android tablets local streaming abilities are not enabled. Like an ipad, you have to download an app for that. IIRC the app for iPad that did it for us was over $20. The android versions are cheaper.

Re: Couple Android questions from an old guy
I just did it over the weekend and ported my dad from WLM to Gmail. He used an old MSN account. I simply went on Gmail and within his gmail profile I selected import contacts, and it gives you the option of other services. I selected hotmail, gave it the username and password, and then told it to im...

Re: Couple Android questions from an old guy
What you want to do is export all your WLM contacts as a CSV file. once you do that, sign in to your Gmail account and import the CSV file. It will automatically upload all your contacts. So long as you have your Galaxy Tab synced to your gmail account (which you are supposed to do to get the full f...

Here is a good article that explains Google's reasons for removing MSD cards from their nexus devices: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Why-Google-wants-to-kill-SD-cards-and-whats-holding-them-back_id23986/ Basically it boils down to increasing on board storage in order to get better performance while...

Re: Google Introduces Nexus 7 Tablet
Damn no microsd slot? That's stupid. I thought the same thing until I checked the available memory on my GN and my Prime (32GB and 64GB respectively). both are chuck filled with apps and books, and the GN has a bunch of music as well. I don't think either broke 7GB in total memory used. As i see it...

No, I mean every report I've read says that microsoft is being very insistent on making Metro the default interface and not allowing users to disable it. Do you know differently?

are there any major differences from the Eee Pad MeMO 370T? no GPS? It has GPS. What it lacks is a rear facing camera, expandable memory (read, no micro SD card slot), and no mobile connectivity (it is strictly WIFI). It also seems to be encapsulated, so no word yet on your ability to change your o...

check out Swype. Allows you to not have to type the letters but move to each one. You may like it :) I'll second that. Swype is the best Android keyboard replacement, bar none. It takes a little getting used to at firs, but once you do, you'll be typing faster than anything else out there and you'l...

Only a matter of time before someone sues them over illegal wiretapping and content monitoring. Besides, this still doesn't stop you from using a proxy server to do all your illegal torrenting.
