MKII and TOXICNATO??

Did Bill Yao just announce that MK II is promoting Slim Fat strap bars made by toxicnato? It is the perfect way to put a toxicnato on a gen 3 Paradive. And the bars sound great.

But seeing Bill and Terry in the same sentence is totally disorienting to me!

New To Me - Skin Diver by Helson

I wasn't looking to get one of these, but took it in on a partial trade. I've had Helsons before and felt they delivered good value for the price, but this Skin Diver is much nicer than I expected. The fit and finish is very good indeed. It has a solid feel to it, excellent lume, has a lovely domed ...

Can’t Decide About The Apple Watch - Try This

I like wearing a dive watch but I have come to appreciate that there are some positives connected with a smart watch. Just being able to text at work surreptitiously makes it valuable. The introduction of Apples Velcro loop strap solved the problem for me: 73B72CE9-57DB-41D3-B905-9780E718E906.jpeg E...

Re: 'rare' Domino's Rolex for auction

Sorry to sound like an old timer, but today's prices seem high only because of when you got into watches. I remember paying $3,000 for a 16613 and thinking it was crazy money to spend on a Rolex, since my steel sub was much cheaper. It was all those damned Wall St guys jumping on the submariner band...

Re: Where Can You Buy An SLA025?

The price doesn’t affect me that much. I remember when the original 6159 models were selling new for about $600 at a time when a Rolex Sub cost $450. The Rolex Sub now sells for twice as much as the Seiko.

New Dual Tone Dial Seiko Diver

Mistakenly thought this was limited to Gnomon, but it’s a general release from February by Seiko. While I’m not usually a fan of adding PADI to a dial just because 30 years ago it meant something, but I like this two tone dial from Seiko. The underlying watch is a great value in my opinion and is th...

Worst Use of a Lemania 5100?

I used to think that this was the ugliest Sinn ever made:

But now I'm beginning to think that this one is even worse:

And they both have a Lemania 5100 in them!

Re: MKII Gen 3 Paradive movement --cheaper !!!

Watch supposedly has the dimensions of the Paradive (a 300M watch), but is rated to 200M. Either its thinner, cheezier made, or the specs are wrong.

Re: Sinn 603 Meisterbund?

Thanks Ben. Oddly enough, the one pictured in the link is a different version altogether. It has a white "Sinn" on the dial, white bezel numbers from 0 to 15, and a red sweep. Maybe they re-did it as a new 70 piece re-issue?

Sinn 603 Meisterbund?

I've been away for a bit and so have not kept up with new models. Has this Sinn Meisterbund already been discussed? I am led to believe its a limited edition of just 70 pieces, no idea of the price. Its a pretty good looking variation on the EZM3 imo. I especially like the all red dial markings and ...

Re: What watch did you use in the Military

When I arrived at Camp Lejeune, I learned that for $10 the supply sgt would "issue" a Benrus without the paperwork to you. I wore that until my first deployment overseas, by which time the Recon guys had convinced me that only a Sea Dweller was worth wearing. I bought one for the princely sum of $42...

MK is an abreiviation for “Mark”. The Brits call the first edition of something the Mark I. So the next model is s Mark II, Mark III, etc.

Possible Fake?

Would a V serial Daytona come with a credit card style warranty or the paper warranty? Offered one at a good, but not stupidly cheap, price, but find the warranty in old style;e paper variety odd for that late a model watch

Thanks in advance for any insights...

Nitrogen?

This may be old news to some, but l just learned that Sinn no longer uses inert Argon in its case fills, and instead uses Nitrogen. I find that to be pretty shitty on several levels. Firstly, the "Ar" on the dial should now be a "N2". Secondly, Nitrogen is not a noble gas, and can in fact react with...

Re: Introducing the Sinn EZM 1.1 Limited Edition

I think it will be a great watch, but find the name irksome. That's a pretty petty thing in an otherwise clean looking addition to the Sinn lineup. BTW - the original EZM1 pushers are usable underwater https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170904/8626e8221c12a1b6bca382117f53942f.png And yet, in respon...

Re: Introducing the Sinn EZM 1.1 Limited Edition

Seth... i am surprised your actually not a fan. Functionality is the same. I have debated the ezm13 forever. This pulled trigger immediately. So I guess the answer is yes. T - absolutely the truth. If you are on the fence about a watch, then you're really not, it's not the right one. If you jump on...
