Re: BSAC dive manual 1978

That’s cool!

But it makes me feel old, since it is such a vintage piece……..and I got my first scuba card before it was published (1978).

Which is more rare - the feet first dial or the meters first dial on a 5513 200M Sub?

Re: New - Singer Divetrack watch

Sorry, I'm in the minority here. This doesn't seem to do anything new - big minutes, small hour hands; has a decomp on the bezel but no method to time it; 49mm; and obviously the price seems a bit aggressive...

Re: Incoming

Aside from being such a sturdy and utilitarian design, my experience with MG is that the movement s are tweaked beautifully to keep very very good time. Like 1-2 secs a day. Congrats on that score!

Re: A New MKII/Tornek-Rayville Offering

Another thing I don’t understand….. the Seiko movements aren’t very accurate and do seem cheap in a watch approaching a grand. I think a smarter move would be to use the thermo-compensated ETA quartz movement, as used in Marathon products. We’ve seen great seconds-hand alignment in Marathon, CWC, a...

Re: Which Seiko should I keep in my collection

I’ve been wearing Seiko dive watches since 1980, and have a soft spot for all of them. However, the SKX007 is most representative of the history in my opinion. It is the lineal descendant of the 62MAS, 6105, 6309, and the short lived 7002. Inexpensive, tough as nails, sized right, and - using an ove...

A New MKII/Tornek-Rayville Offering

Let me preface this to say I abhor his business practices and I cringe deeply at the fan-boi obsequiousness of his military fantasies. However, I will admit that Bill Yao has come up with a decent watch this time, though sadly called the Blakjak. 42mm, 200M, Seiko 4R36, sapphire, choice of countup o...
