Tutima Commando?

Anyone know of a variant of the Tutima DI 300 called a Commando? (Not to be confused with the chronograph Commando II). tut1.jpg Its got the same titanium case as a regular DI300, but some distinct differences too: Destro (lefty) crown placement. Ordinal numbers on the dial. 60 minute numbers on the...

Re: Vintage Guys - Need An Opinion

You’ve convinced me that this one is a pass. If the bezel is wrong - but being presented as all original - then who knows what else is Frankenstein.

Kind of a shame - there are very few 36000 bph divers out there

Vintage Guys - Need An Opinion

This is a vintage Zodiac SSW 750M model. Its in rough shape, but it's a cool old timer dive model.

However, I've never seen a two layer bezel before - is this correct for this watch?

Ebay Descriptions!

OK, I know that its just ebay, and sellers there are not to be taken seriously. But, this watch is described as "outstanding +" condition. Got a chuckle out of it, but I'd hate to see one of his beaters....

The SKX used to be the title holder, but there's a new head wearing the crown.

About the same size, vastly superior 4R35 auto movement, still 200M WR, and date only (who needs day?). Price is close enough to make it worthy.

Re: Sinn Repairs - Twilight Zone Edition?

True to their word - EZM2 arrived today, less than two weeks from the day they got it. New battery, fresh oil, and, not sure why, but the service included installing a brand new caseback, with new serial number on it. The receipt shows the old and new numbers, so my paperwork is still consistent. No...

Ever Been Conflicted About a Watch?

Having been a frequent critic of Mike Kobold and his antics, it is unseemly to buy one of his watches. But on the other hand, I've always thought this was a great watch in design and execution. Therefore, I'm conflicted about buying a used one - will the name on it (even in subdued print) be too muc...

Mini Review: Poseidon Professional 500

[I'm not sure if Poseidon branding a watch is technically a micro, but its definitely not a major, so here goes.] This is the Poseidon Professional 500 dive watch. It is a 500M watch, with a steel case, screw down back, screwin crown, sapphire crystal, unidirectional bezel, a a quartz movement. Its ...

Sinn Repairs - Twilight Zone Edition?

It is no secret that the turnaround time on watch sent to Sinn Germany is usually measured in months. The finished product is always superb, but agonizingly slow. This is especially true with an oil filled EZM2, where they may often wait until they have a large batch of similar repairs and do them a...
