Or the Movas Watch Co graduated from the same customer service academy as Doxa? :bird:

Re: So my 8 month old Boutique Diver has no parts warranty?

That seems like a true non sense answer. When the original Poster bought the Movas product he purchased it as a whole unit. Had the OP been aware that ahem "operational" issues were not covered then the OP would have had the choice to proceed with the sale or not. But to state after the fact this fa...

Re: Vintage Watchmakers

Hi Jae For what its worth I've used Tarrytown jewelers in the past and they were great. They were honest and professional. I also strongly recommend J & J watch service in Huntington on Long Island...again honest, professional and the estimate for work and time taken to complete said work was spot o...

Re: Another source for NATOs, etc

I had the Tungchoy/ strap code NAtO's and pretty much tossed them all in to the garbage. Couldn't trust them. The "tang" in the buckle kept popping out of the strap hole when under stress. Also had a couple that when wet were significantly weaker and when I took the watch I was wearing off the strap...

Re: Lunch GTG

I sincerely want to thank the Long Island contingent for inviting me to their bi monthly luncheon get together. It was a pleasure to be able to put names to faces (and damn fine faces they are too). As for the Doxa's, from what I understand they are all from circa 1967-73 although I can't promise th...

Re: First Customer Pic of a NUMA is Up on WUS

Hey all, how you been? Well a few days ago I got an email from Doxa Customer Service, asking if there was a specific NUMA # that I'd like. I was going to say 13, because that is my number. But remembered that my Diving With Legends Doxa was #5. I emailed Doxa back and was told consider it done. Just...

Re: Helson or the wanabe diver

I have to say that In all of this I would be very curious to read Peter Helson's reply / defense of his product. While It may be possible to have a bad batch of any manufactured product I would have thought that Helson would have damn well made sure that the 2nd watch he sent JM was spot on. Also as...

Re: Doxa NUMA Delay - Who Woulda Thunk It?

I have a great conspiracy theory: The 1200t Numa's were shown nearly completed on the WUS Doxa forum. All that was needed was final assembly and testing. However according to the redoubtable Karin (of Doxa C.S. fame), the new Swiss Federation Of Watches Trade and Commerce Division has just enacted a...

Re: Doxa NUMA Delay - Who Woulda Thunk It?

Got the same delay of game email as the rest of the 1200t Numa group. I wrote them (customer ser) and since its 10pm in Switzerland right now the home team (Texas) took over. Wrote them that the delay sucks But at least this time they had the decency to tell people about this latest fuck up before t...

Re: I don't want to hate, but...

Mikey, Mikey, Mikey. You ain't wrong (specifically about) Doxa. I'm currently sweating out the waiting on a NUMA 1200t and I have vowed that I will never again purchase directly from Doxa again. Why? In private emails with the redoubtable Karin of famed customer service I was essentially told I was ...
