JP, you get riled up pretty easily. What's bothering you bud? If it's just my question about the watch caseback that is inciting your responses, you need to chill.
Are you from a real small town?

Re: Planet Ocean Display Caseback
OK, maybe I am too serious. But, I have a decent Omega related story that just happened. Half hour ago, at the Ottomanelli's Deli waiting for my Roast Beef and Swiss, guy behind me had on a Speedmaster, purchased by his dad in 1970 in Singapore, just refurbished in June. He knew little about the wat...

Never had an exhibition caseback. Only Omega was the Seamaster from the 90's. Rolex, Breitling and Seiko only other owned brands.

Planet Ocean Display Caseback
Is the Planet Ocean's 600m water resistance and the overall case strength compromised by the exhibition caseback as opposed to a solid caseback?
Thanks

U1-T Blue Dial
Sinn U1T is temporarily sold out. But I think the blue dial varient on bracelet, which is available, is perhaps nicer, although black dial is classic. Have a Notify Me message with Watchbuys for the Black one. Decision is slightly complicated as I am ordering a Doxa 1200t Caribbean, as well, with a ...

2013 Corvette Grand Sport, 6 speed manual. I live in Manhattan and park the car about 50 blocks from where I live because the garage has lifts for those that park there. This way, the car does not get dinged or scratched at all. I have had Corvettes as my only car for the last 15 years and they are ...

Ordering Omega from Topper's
Ordering a new Omega Planet Ocean 8900 from Topper's in California is without risk in any area, correct?
I live in NYC and have no interaction with the company.
Thanks,

Vintage Quality Versus Current Quality
Hello, In a previous thread, I spoke of my interest in adding a Doxa Sub to my small group of watches. Given my newby status regarding the Doxa brand, I felt that the initial purchase should be new, using the Doxa website. In reading everything I could find about the brand, I was struck by the negat...

Thanks for the advice.
For the time being, I'd prefer a good Manhattan jeweler so I don't have to learn on a new bracelet.

Re: Purchase of new Doxa online
Thanks for all the informative replies. When purchasing the watches I currently own, I was easily able to have the metal bracelets sized at the AD or boutique where purchased. This option is not available with Doxa. Does anybody have a reliable jeweler in Manhattan that can size the bracelet when I ...

Re: Purchase of new Doxa online
Thanks for the helpful comments everybody. Looks like the 1200T Pro is the overwhelming favorite of those that answered my post for what is in stock through the Doxa website. I am a bit surprised that the larger 1500T didn't get any consideration from those that replied to my questions. Anybody live...

Purchase of new Doxa online
So, I've been a watch guy for decades with Rolex, Breitling, Omega and Seiko brands. Been into Doxa for the last two weeks. While I have loved going on the Forum sites of the brands I own for many years up to this day, I have read just about all of the Doxa posts on its sub forum on DWC, over the la...

Really nice choice. I tried a blue 43.5 8900 on today.
It was fantastic and really thinking about this watch now.
More so than the 5 line Pelagos.

Yup, a Long Islander from way back. South Shore, where the beaches are gritty and the girls are pretty.
Married a home town honey. She gave me my first kiss
at Nassau Beach, in Long Beach. Still go there every chance we get. Too explicit?
