Re: Seiko King Turtle Military Project

Thank you and yes, the double cyclops is definitely not one of my favorites... I think it makes the watch even more asymmetrical. I would love a dial like this without day/date... The lume was actually readable all night, interestingly at first the hands (Dagaz) and marker lume are a bit diff...

Seiko King Turtle Military Project

This is a project I have been itching to do since I saw the Seiko King Turtle models with the elaborate dial, this one is the green version which some call "grenade". I don't like that name personally, I prefer military and this is actually aligned to what I wanted to do with it. I got one of these ...

Tommy & Carlo are wearing masks while alone, so the lack of fresh air has started to affect judgement and vision.

I don't know what you are talking about Ed, my eyesight is not a problem...

And my mask works just fine...

I don't do gilt/gold but that bracelet looks great on that watch. Well done for finding it.

Re: New project

Thank you for posting Alessandro. Definitely unique styling and looks. Taste is certainly a personal thing so no worries. I actually like these generally even if they seem a little too complicate and don't seem easy to wear.

Re: In Case You Missed It - Timefactors

I could not figure out what was bothering me and now I know, the proportions. Each one of these seems to be off even if a bit in terms of proportions and I think it is because instead of taking a whole new design they tried to scale down an existing one which had a different size. My opinion of cour...

Re: Longings Master Retrograde - anyone own(ed) one ?

I did not have this one but I had a Seagull that had a couple of similar features. The Retro part is intriguing for sure but not the easiest thing to read. Then again it depends if you have a good eyesight... of course here it is enlarged too. Super cool if it works for you. IMG_97...

Congrats Joe! It’s a looker for sure. Oh...assuming it has ABS, best to break 100% with the front break for more control. Unless you plan to do wheelies of course  Not sure that is a good practice, best balance and power is to use both front and back brakes. Practicing until you get the bes...

Re: Because DWC members know their shit: Motorcycle questions - what to get for my first real bike

Funny but I always had more fun with smaller bikes... larger ones might have too much power to use in normal condition. Unless one goes to a track of course... but that Husquarna looks very sweet Joe, I read it is a hoot to ride. Congratulations , have fun  and ride safely.

Re: Right out of the gate.....New Sub $20,000!

This could be amusing if it wasn't sad... 20K for a watch? I wonder how much of that is profit. 15K? More? whatever... Rolex was not on my radar but it just moved out of the Galaxy for me, out of reach of the most powerful telescope...

Are these actually part of the Alpinist line? Or are they similar to the field watches they came out with a year ago?
