Re: Winfield Watch Company

Darn another one... my head is spinning with all these "companies" sprouting all over the place. It seems I learn of a new watch/brand/model every day... more options but also more variables... need some kind of review and comparison to have an idea of where to place them. This one is not my ...

Re: Vaer's new Automatics and "Dirty Dozen"

Hey Tom, thank you for sharing. They are simple military inspired watches but there are many ways to design the dial and the hands. The obvious mismatch of the markers and the rest of the dial/hand on the 3rd watch might even be made on purpose, although I personally don't like it. But I have seen t...

Re: New edition Bulova Moonwatch?

Good choice, I had one of those too and really liked it a lot. In the pictures it looks taller then it is, it was actually wearing really well.

I wish they did a regular 3 hand version of that, I never really cared much for chronographs.

Re: Serica Watches

Very nice looking but a little small and with such thick bezel it will wear even smaller. And yeah, hand winding the screw down is an invitation to stripped threads.

For the price it could also have a sapphire crystal.

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190621/7397dedf2fec7ae77434042b06e04c31.jpg I think watch companies are just trolling us now Maybe I'm staring the obvious here but this watch was not intended to be sold commercially, so it's lack of practicality isn't really a big issue. Kinda pointless then! Yo...

If you are not in a rush you can send it to me. I am not promising that I can service it but I can take a look. If everything else is in order I could replace the movement for you for the cost of the movement. Some time these come up used and they can be bought for $50 or less.

Monday joke

The old lady was standing at the railing of the cruise ship holding her hat on tight so that it would not blow off in the wind. A gentleman approached her and said: “Pardon me, madam. I do not intend to be forward, but did you know that your dress is blowing up in this high wind?” “Yes, I know,” sai...

Sunday joke

A policeman radio's in to the station.

"Hello, is that you Sarge?"

"Yes? Go ahead" comes back the answer.

"We have a case here. A woman has shot her husband for stepping on the floor she had just mopped clean."

"Have you arrested the woman?"

"No sir. The floor is still wet."

Re: "Avengers Engame". Somebody Explain It To Me . . .

Taste is taste. I personally like the Marvel movies a lot, however one can only decide for himself once he watch them. If I was to suggest to a new person I would suggest to watch the first Captain America and the first Thor movies. They are simple and they give a flavor of what they are.

Re: Redesigned Precista PRS-3?

Don't know anything about the new one but I had one of the original ones. As far as I recall it was a great watch and had decent lume. The only thing that I did not like was the black seconds hand and I replaced it with a white one. It was 42mm too. IMG_7110.jpg IMG_7111.jpg IMG_7112.jpg IMG_7117.jp...
