I almost love it... but so often Seiko seems to do that one thing that puts me off (in this case the cyclops).
The always almost get it right.

Re: New 2020

They are already on sale on Ebay for $550-600.

Definitely don't like the cyclops, I also don't like the cream colored seconds hand on the black and green ones...

Re: Hattori NH36?

I don't know but I think that maybe there are two sub-divisions, one for Seiko branded watches and parts for repair and one for Seiko parts used for other brands. the NH36 is after all a movement NOT using in Seiko watches. Seiko watches use Seiko Branded movement, even if they are made in the same...

Re: Hattori NH36?

Hattori is the original name of the founder of Seiko. I have seen that some places like Cousins UK for example, have their part number named from what seems to be an Hattori catalog or something like that: https://www.cousinsuk.com/category/filter/seiko-movement-parts I can only assume that some pa...

Re: New Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer Chrono Quartz

I have one of these, the original one with the white lume and I was really happy about it, it has a nice shape and size and was cool looking. The new faux patina does not really look good on it in my opinion. Personally I actually like the 22mm lugs, it's essentially very close in overall dimensions...

Re: Marc from Island Watches Now Selling "The Islander" . . .

It seems to me that the watch is larger then an SKX and the dial probably not compatible with the usual aftermarket Seiko dials. The rest I assume is not compatible either with the SKX parts. It seems actually that maybe he used the base model that Deep Blue watches has used in the past for a simila...

Re: New Timex Marlin Automatic Burgundy

Thank you Tom, these are very nice a part the minute hand being a bit too short in my opinion. Also not thrilled with the Miyota 82xx movement. But overall they are nice, if they had a bracelet it would help too.

Re: Tool watches that Seiko could have built?

Thank you all for the kind words. I agree that the Military project is a bit more special then the other. To answer the question on the dial, it is not MKII it is from Dagaz. The MKIi dial only has lume on the markers, a part not being available, this one has lume on the numbers too which makes it b...

Tool watches that Seiko could have built?

For quite a white I wanted to do two specific projects. One being a military style tool watch and the other a Tuna with a special look. I was lucky to find a watch from a member of this forum that I could use for both these projects. One is an Seiko SRP Save The Ocean which had a Top hat sapphire cr...
