Re: DROP + GLYCINE COMBAT SUB "COFFEE" GMT WATCH

A Combat Sub GMT for $589?? I'm really not sold on the price. I don't think a GMT movement will be an additional $200 or more.

Re: New Karlskrona Hemlig Prototype - Studio Photos and Review

After wearing the Hemlig on and off for the past week I have to say this is the best offering from Karlskrona to date. Blasted finish is executed very nicely, the ceramic bezel insert is crisply etched, the bezel click action is firm with precise clicks, the crown screws down smoothly and the lume ...

Re: My One & Only Vintage... So Far!

Hey Terry and Eric... I appreciate your comments very much. When I first saw the pictures, I thought this was a very special vintage. After viewing the pictures and seeing the movement, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. You read a lot of horror stories when someone buys a vintage and they realized...

My One & Only Vintage... So Far!

I have always wanted to own some vintage timepieces, but as some of you already know that's easier said than done. Back around 2007 or 2008 I found a vintage Seiko with white dial that some call a "UFO" style case. I was disappointed to find out that what I bought was not original, so I sold it and ...

Re: WRUW =Saturday 11 16 19=

Happy Saturday DWC!!! I am away from home until the end of the month, but I did bring some of my beloved timepieces with me to enjoy. Today I am wearing the Helm Vanuatu, one of my favorite divers. My photo skills are not the greatest and I need a lot of help. https://i.imgur.com/8uMMhdr.jpg Enjoy ...

Re: I Need Your Help

At around $2k, a second hand quartz Grand Seiko can be a great option. Don’t know the seller but this is a great deal for example https://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-grand-seiko-quartz-sbgx261-less-then-month-old-%241500-shipped-usa-only-5068125.html Hi Andrea... I never thought about a Grand Seik...

Re: Your Worst Sales Decision

When I first started down the rabbit hole of this wonderful hobby, I have bought and sold everything from Anonimo to Zinex/Zixen. It's a good thing I don't have the pics of the ones I had because every time I view the pics, it would be too brutal.

Re: I Need Your Help

Another Oris that has piqued my interest is the Big Crown Pro Pilot. If anyone has a Pro Pilot, please post a few pics including a wrist shot. I'm curious as to how the Sinn and Fortis compare to each other. I think I read that Fortis was going through some tough times and they were thinking about s...

Re: I Need Your Help

You make a very good point Paul. IIRC the Sixty-Five model gives you a chance to swap straps. As much as I like their divers, that will be be more than what I want to spend. Anyone else have any ideas/recommendations?

This is one reason why I love DWC, you guys are answering the call when a member needs some guidance. I Need Your Help

Hey Guys, This is my first thread since coming back, and I need your help. I have finally added high end to my collection. The first purchase was a Tudor BB Heritage 3-hander on leather strap. I really have enjoyed wearing the BB very much. Also, I have added a Breitling B-1 on rubber strap. This ha...

Re: New Doxa Sub 300T, 1500T, and Sub 200

I've had several Doxas years ago... First one was a Caribbean GMT, a few orange dials such as a 300T Aqualung and 1200T Seahunter, and a 5000T Sharkhunter. I agree the 42mm would not be something I would be interested in. If I could find a Caribbean or Seahunter, I would be a very happy camper.

Re: So who's buying the Odysseus?

Some of you will not like my post but that's what I like about DWC, we can speak our mind. The most I have spent on a timepiece was my pre-owned Tudor BB Heritage Stainless, and there is a select few that I would like to add. However, spending more than $10k for an item you wear on the wrist, the pe...

Hello DWC Gang!!

Hey Guys and Gals of DWC!! Tonight is my first logon since December 2009?? It's hard for me to fathom I have been away that long. A lot has happened in my life since then. August 2016 I retired from the state's Office of Technology after 17 years. It was pretty much involuntary on my part as I was h...
