Re: Recommend me a sports sedan
Alfa reliability concerns me a bit. Not great reviews compared to BMW, Audi, Benz, Lexus, Infiniti etc. I think apt of that perception comes from the older Alfas. From what I have seen (reading all about the Alfas over the two years I have had mine, reliability seems pretty much up there with other...

Re: 2021 Ford Bronco Release - 7/13
Oh and the depreciation on these is crazy too. 3year lease with a MSRP of 50k. End of lease worth? 26k :raised: Again, fun to lease but my cheap ass is done with this when my wife can lease a BMW X3 for less, get all maintenance included and is much more refined all around. Cool Stelvio!!!! Ditto! That Trofeo white is so amazing in person. The way the color changes in the light, pictures don't do it justice. Get a room you two. Re: Bike TLC
I’m not quite sure what to make of the gravel bike craze. Maybe it’s because I’ve never liked drop bars. A lot of them look like 90’s mountain bikes. I like my Salsa Vaya a LOT. I think gravel means it’s a bit of a jack of all trades in the bike world. I rode a gravel trail often and it’s great. Bu...

Looks great. Are in in construction or do you tow gigantic stuff regularly? Cattle? You should see the size of the trucks my coworkers drive. It’s hilarious. The only one that actually tows a good size boat has the smallest truck. Honestly, that’s the case with 99.99% of people I know that own truc...

Re: Because DWC members know their shit: Motorcycle questions - what to get for my first real bike
If you’re going to ride any dirt areas, I’d buy used. It’s not a chance of “if” you get in an accident or drop the bike but more of “when”. Kinda like riding with clip in pedals. You’ll forget something, get caught “juggling” a decision or just not pay full attention and “poof” there you go. Sent fr...

Re: Panerai CEO plans for 2020
They need to fix the mess they made of the standard Luminor models. Snap on back and spring bars on a Panerai is unacceptable. This was a huge turn off when I got mine. I could deal with the spring bars but let’s not cut it to 100m of WR. Still kept it bc of sentimental value and wear it all the ti...

No brand needs 40+ new models. They’re losing focus of the brand and becoming another Invicta but priced 9,999 higher.

Re: Decision Made
Alfa makes a nice car. I'd never buy a Genesis if they are sold and serviced by a Hyundai dealer (as they are in Ithaca). i think they are separate but not......I hear hyundai/genesis have good quality though....I wanted the Alfa last time, went to lease one and got sidetracked by the Volvo.... Wan...

Drink 6 of the same beers, plus an additional 1-3 for good measure and try again. I think your (beer) googles may have been a bit out of alignment and with 1-3 more, this should properly align them for fixing the watch.

Re: Star Wars Episode 9 Teaser Trailer
I'll go see it for sure, that's a given. Not too impressed with this trailer though. I hope it's better than Episode 8. VIII wasn’t just a bad movie, it was incredibly shitty - easily one of the worst major movies I’ve ever seen. Number VII wasn’t very good, but holy shit VIII was bad. It reminds m...

most of the ones I've received I couldn't point to today. i remember a pair of cufflinks that I can't find, a flask i lost at a bonfire party, etc. but my brother in law gave us all these very nice jetbeams, and i still keep that one very close. https://i.imgur.com/CwwcwF7.jpg :1: I’m not a very se...

Re: Groomsmen Gift
Honestly if you do watches they only will wear the tux on the big day, so don’t be a slave to style. Get something cool, but special, and they will use all the time and think of you. Ares might be a cool choice if it’s in the budget. The venerable Seiko SKX at a lower price point. Matching natos? T...

Groomsmen Gift
Anyone have any good ideas for a groomsmen gift? I was thinking of watches for them (6) but don’t want to go too pricey or overboard. Also in tuxes so they’d have to go well with that.
Thanks guys!

My fiancé has an X3 now and was looking at an X5 for her next car. We requested an X5 loaner when it was being serviced last weekend and we were able to test drive this....not exactly apples to apples and I’m still not sure why the dealer would let us use this as it certainly wasn’t what we were loo...

Nice to see T-bone. I love Maryland but wouldn’t retire there since they tax your social security. Thrasher’s are by far, the best fries. If you make the move, or come visit again, hit me up.

Re: Seriously...come on
The luxury market for cars hasn’t gone up, IMO, as much as the standard manufacturers. BMW X3 priced around 50k, moderately equipped. Or get a rubicon for 60k. Again, different buyers but I don’t think many of the luxury brands have gone up quite as bad as the standard. Sent from my iPhone using Tap...

Re: SUV/Crossover Suggestions
The only negative is the Honda Pilot is loud (louder with wind and road noise than my Tacoma). For this reason I might consider looking at the Acura MDX (which I think is the same platform as the Pilot, just with better sound deadening and upgraded interior / accessories). Our Pilot was also kind o...

Re: Start/Stop Systems
My car has it. You have to disable it each time you get in the car. Not a big deal to me, just like putting on a seat belt. I've heard that manufacturers argue that it's no additional wear and tear on a vehicle and that the starters they use are designed for significantly more starts than what the a...
