Re: Hamilton's new Khaki Field Expedition 37mm and 41mm

I don’t mind the aged lume too much here but don’t care for the compass bezel. Traditional smooth bezel and I would have jumped on the white dial 37mm.

Don’t understand why Omega doesn’t go back to something like this vs. the bloated designs they have currently.

Congrats on a great watch!

6900 is gonna feel big on a 6” wrist. I’d start with the og gwm-5610 and size up from there.

Edit: just saw the no square g’s. I think you’re missing out on an awesome piece but agree with the above mentions if those are out.

Re: call me crazy...

Picked this up from the post just today so still honeymooning hard, but man if it isn’t awesome. Ultimate comfort and disappears on the wrist. I had the 39mm in the past and it always just felt off proportionally to me. Based off of the last few hours I’m fully in the 36mm camp. https://uploads.tap...

Re: Ever sold a watch because of weight?

Blast from the past thread. Still don’t have a U1 anymore but I’m wanting to try the U50. Have had the same issue with MM300 on bracelet. Just too much chunk sliding around to enjoy over long periods.

Still love my Tuna though!

Agree with the comments above on the grey case. Would have been nice. Don’t see myself itching for one of these anytime soon.

Picked this one up a month or so ago and it’s hogging all of the summer wrist time this year. Loving it in the rubber strap.

Ordered one. Have had several Marathons over the years and the date window placement has never bothered me. I’ve always wanted this one in stainless. Also signed up for the mailing list and got an additional 10% off, free hat, and free shipping.

Re: Year End SOTC, YTD Stats and what's next thread

Looking back this year was busier than I thought on the new watch front. All of these were purchased this year except for the GMT. A few aren’t pictured, but of these, the only one that didn’t stick around was the Tudor. I split most of my time between the no date and Speedy. https://uploads.tapatal...

Re: Rolex OP White Dial

This was one that got away for me. Wanted one and then prices got nuts. 11.5 is waaay too much. To put it in perspective that’s a new Speedy and new Seamaster with change to spare. And the OP isn’t better than either of those watches imo.

You’ve hit the highlights. The 856 UTC is a great watch and I always enjoy the Hamilton Khaki. The 856 imo does not wear large and fit my 6.75” wrists great.

Re: Apple made a dive watch?

So, are any of you looking to sell now that you’ve owned the Ultra for a month? Thinking about getting one for working out, rucking and to track my sleep. Thoughts? I actually took mine back during the return window and picked up a series 8. Ended up being a bit overkill for me and not nearly as co...

Re: Apple made a dive watch?

Picked one up Friday and so far I’m enjoying it. Love the larger display for quick reference when I’m out on the mountain bike and the brighter display looks great outdoors. Battery life is good but I never ran low on my old so it’s a non-issue. One thing that I didn’t think I would use but really l...

I always come back to the Sinn 556i to scratch the itch. 200m water resistance and highly legible. Also the sweet spot at 38.5mm.

The whole new collection has an “inspired by Rolex” feel to it. Deep diver with gradient dial, bright colors, green dive watch, etc etc.
I thought the exact same thing. Rolex circa 2020.

Honestly I think it’s still a great buy at the updated price. Should still be able to snag a discount to get it to mid 4’s. They hit above their weight imo. Need to get a blue to compliment my white.

Well, just drove 4 hours to pick up this guy. With the chip shortage it’s the closest one I could find that wasn’t already sold. Traded my 4 year old f-150 and they gave me more on trade then I paid new! Crazy times. This one has the newer inline 6 duramax 3.0L diesel. So far so good and the gas mil...
