Re: WRUW 07 Dec 18

Got a super jubilee for the sto. Love it! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181207/495540319ad299ccfb168d4e289c24f3.jpg I like it! Is that the one from Strapcode with the 22 to 18 taper? Yep, went with the standard buckle on super jubilee. 22 to 18. Fit is great on the one I got and it works well ...

Re: Shoulda kept it sealed...

My thing with Rolex is that they just age well. They’re timeless designs that hold up, for the most part, 30 plus years down the road. Unfortunately for Omega they just change the designs of their watches so frequently that over time they just start to look very dated, Speedmaster and a few others b...

Re: Seiko SBDC051 and SBDC061

No, it’s the clasp with the dive extension in the front. It can sometimes dig into the wrist. I like the 015 clasp and wish this one used it. Forgive the fingerprints. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181106/8d514d02ef264c599fad21411f8b30f3.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181106/cd941cb720e...

Re: Seiko SBDC051 and SBDC061

Just got one of these and I’ll say that Seiko did a good job with it. Having owned the MM300 this does feel like its little brother. Some quick thoughts. Likes: -Fits me much better than the 051/052 62mas -Bracelet is solid and reminds me of the 015 Tuna bracelet which is a good thing -Crown at 4 is...

Re: Watch taste maturation... has this happened to you?

I tend to work within the same wheelhouse which is why I buy the same watches over and over. I stick towards divers and tool watches in the 38-42 range. Your Subs, SKX’s, Turtles, diver 65’s, and Tunas I could roll with all day long. Lately I’ve started to expand my horizons a bit and look outside m...

Re: Update: Any BLNR owners or previous?

I think I was one of the first to try a 16710 and 116710LN on SJ. Got grief when I did it on the 116710 but apparently now it’s the thing to do thanks to the stainless Pepsi. I liked it a lot (especially on the 16710) but recall needing different spring bars for both? Been years and I do...

Re: Any BLNR owners or previous?

Update: blnr arrived today and I gotta say it’s a looker. I’m afraid to take the plastic off! Beautiful piece and it’s exactly what I was looking for. And just for everyone’s curiosity I decided to hold on to the Explorer and let the Sub go. I think the two will work well together. Thanks everyone f...

Re: Anyone else have Red Dead Redemption showing up tomorrow?

I've still got a PS3 (not a lot of time for gaming these days so haven't upgraded) and always wanted to try this title - is it still worth picking up the original game and giving it a run? Looks like it came out quite a few years ago now... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Definitely worth playin...

Is this a good single player game? I hate that all the games I used to like are mostly online multiplayer now.

Re: Any BLNR owners or previous?

Hmm. I guess part of my problem is the Sub, Explorer, and Speedy can feel a little vanilla at times. The BLNR would add a splash of color and some flash. And I’m not ready to part with the sub so it’s a keeper for now. It is a very monochromatic collection. What I would do is keep the Speed...

Re: Any BLNR owners or previous?

Love mine! I have a Rubber B strap for it to dress it down, a set of Smarty end links and croc strap for another look and the PCL bracelet. I'm looking to source a 63600 super jubilee too. The PCLs were a turn off for me initially, but honestly, they've grown on me. I'll be swapping back to that la...
