Re: Citizen’s new Series 8 890
I like these. The salmon/copper variant is probably my favorite of the bunch.

Re: New Seiko Landmaster SLA071
It's a good looking model. I popped mine off the bracelet and onto a nato, which it has lived on since then. The bracelet is fine, but definitely not my favorite. Can you share some photos on nato? Thanks Russ This is one of Terry's shiznits. The blue/grey is a pretty perfect match. https://uploads...

Re: Christmas watches
Picked this one up for myself for Christmas. I had the OG Carl Brashear a few years back and sold it to get something else. It was one of those ones that got away, and Topper had this one used at a good price. Couldn't resist. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231227/b3ef29f93b2f58a21661f860dd7169e...

Re: Seiko’s new Marine Masters
There are so many weird elements here that I can't point to one single thing that ruins the design...It's just everything. What a strange release.

Re: This just in... SLA071
Pictures of the new clasp please [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Hoppy summed it up well above, but here's a few quick snaps. Unfortunately I no longer have a MM300 I can use for a side by side comparison. As you can see, the design is very similar to the MM300. The extension functions ...

Re: This just in... SLA071
That’s awesome Russ, congrats! Is it sized like the MM300 but lighter? As usual, the real life photos are much better than the Seiko stock images. I'd say wrist presence in terms of lug to lug is very similar to the MM300. But it's significantly thinner and obviously lighter due to being titanium. ...

This just in... SLA071
I posted about this model over in the Main forum when it was first announced, and ever since then I just couldn't get this model out of my head. I've always been a fan of the older Landmasters Seiko used to make, and something about the combo of the Landmaster style, in titanium, with a blue texture...

Re: New Seiko Landmaster SLA071
I'm wondering if they will follow up with a non LE black dial version? Hopefully. I like the blue dial a lot, but I'd just like to see this model available in some version that isn't limited. What seems more likely to me is what they do with the 62mas renditions. Fancy limited SLA versions, and the...

Re: New Seiko Landmaster SLA071
Seems I was wrong on the price in my original post. It's $2,600 USD, not $2,900. For some reason, every retailer has it listed for $2.9 despite the Seiko MSRP being set at $2.6. I emailed Topper to clarify what the actual cost was, and they confirmed that it's $2.6 & corrected the price on their sit...

Re: New Seiko Landmaster SLA071
No rush for soon they will issue different version LE over this very same model. Unfortunately true. Seiko's LE's don't really hold their value well due to how many versions they do of the same "limited" design. I really don't understand why they don't just roll these watches out just as part of th...

New Seiko Landmaster SLA071
Looked around and didn't see a thread on this yet, but apologies if there's already chatter on this model. Looks like Seiko is kinda sorta reissuing the Landmaster series, albeit for a pretty limited run. 8L35 movement, titanium case, 42mm, $2600 USD and limited to 1000. Full specs/marketing storyli...

I checked out Staib, but unfortunately they don't offer one in 19mm. Hunting down those oddball widths is challenging.

Re: I think Seiya is shutting down.
I'd also noticed the multiple extended vacations and this most recent unspecified duration break and was worried. I've bought multiple watches from Seiya & he's always been fantastic. Ridiculously fast shipping, quick & kind communication, and he sold/shipped JDM models to the states *long* before S...

Mesh Bracelets?
Hey folks, Anyone have experience with a handful of the mesh bracelet options out there? I'm eyeing the Strapcode (https://ishort.ink/m9Ks) & Watchgecko (https://ishort.ink/xCRv) options currently since they're both available in 19mm, but hard to tell if there's any discernible difference in quality...

Re: Staining/discoloration on sapphire crystal?
Thanks for the toothpaste recommendation! I'll give that a try.
I had tried Dawn dish soap previously with no luck. Emailed Paul and he confirmed that the MS21 doesn't have an outer AR coating, so it's likely something just cooked onto the crystal.
