Easy day. It’s been super simple because I do routine cleaning on it, which is about 5 minutes a month. I run about a bag and a half per 24hr period - which is ~60lbs - so I’m dumping ash out every 10 days or so. Then vacuum once a month. Shoulda done it years ago.
Sounds good, thanks.

With this house I have gone the way of the pellet and it is a pleasant way to go.
When I get too lazy (or old) to wheel barrow the wood from the driveway to the back yard I may opt for a pellet stove.

What's your experience with pellet stove maintenance?

Re: Kiln Dried Firewood?

I'm going with the traditional firewood; delivery scheduled for tomorrow.

Once the heating season begins, I store a fair amount of wood directly behind the stove.

Seems to work well, even with wood one season old.

Re: WRUW 21 September 18

I have a tendency to wear watches "un-carefully". I will try to pay attention to my surroundings (door knobs, metal shelves, running chainsaws, etc.) when I wear the Doxa. The exposed edges of the sapphire crystal demand caution from someone like me. (an acrylic crystal would be safer) https://i.img...

Re: Damasko DA47

Matt, if the hand functions correctly the hand needs to be removed and reinstalled. Thanks for weighing in. Not sure if it's that simple since it initially hits the markers dead on, then moves off. Then the hand might be lose. No way to tell without opening it up unfortunately. May have it checked ...

Let me know how things work out for you.

At some point, I'd like to see if service on mine can correct the minute sub-dial hand alignment.

No money for repair at the moment; especially since time-keeping, hand reset, etc. is good.

Re: How Many Watches Do You Have?

I kept the poll simple without an option to go back and change a vote.

However, I sold the Squale and moved down one group on the survey; feels good.

In the 11-15 range.

Trade Is Moving Forward

Brent just got in touch with me.

He got over to FedEx, good news; my watch passes muster and his is on the way to me, due in tomorrow.

Some details.

This is what I traded towards his watch.
