It's time...

I've been member of DWC since the doors opened more than six years ago. What a great, fun-loving, watch-loving, group of guys! But times change and people change. I'm finding more and more that I'm often out-of-step with the mainstream membership. As guys come and go, the culture changes over the ye...

Re: Fitbit's Blaze

They unveiled their latest wham-bam product announcements at this week's CES show, and industry analysts responded with a joint "meh." Fitbit's stock price dropped 18% that day, now selling for about $21, down from almost $52 a few months ago. The $52 has been their all time high. I'd bet that this...

Re: Fitbit's Blaze

I wouldn't touch a Fitbit right now. They're being beaten up badly on Wall Street and they were just slapped with a big class-action lawsuit claiming that Fitbit's heart rate monitor is substantially flawed.

Jennifer Jason Leigh in Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight"

If you're old enough, you might remember Jennifer Jason Leigh as a nubile high school girl in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High:" https://36.media.tumblr.com/8052074aaef3ca9b91c7aac7689ae49c/tumblr_nk1ahrbayo1t4fn5uo1_500.png ...which also introduced us to Sean Penn (Jeff Spicoli) and Phoebe Cates (Lind...

Re: Movie suggestions!!

I'd like to tell you my wife dragged me to see this one, but it was actually the other way around. I'd read a couple four-star reviews and thought hmmm, I love Cate Blanchett, I love Rooney Mara, I sure don't mind a little 'girl-on-girl' - - looks like a winner to me! It was! A bit slow moving, but ...

Re: STAR WARS

We all agreed it was easily the worst of the seven 'Star Wars' movies. You shut that whore mouth and go watch Phantom Menace again. No way in hell the new movie is worse than eps I or II. The absence of that floppy limp wristed gungan idiot alone made it a better experience. But the poorly written ...

Re: STAR WARS

I still love going out to the movies. There's something magical about watching a good-to-excellent film on the big screen, in a darkened theater, with booming sound, and sharing the experience with a bunch of other people. Sorry, but a DVD just can't come close to duplicating the experience. Being r...

Re: 194

Rockhold clearly looked stronger and more skilled. Heavier hands and kicks. Surprising, but solid win. They should have called the right the round before. First time I have seen a UFC fight clearly go past when it should have been called. Good night of fights. I think Herb Dean was giving the undef...
