Re: Lorier Watches - Neptune diver

Really like these, especially the gilt dial. The gilt and blue have been sold out for a while, so was going to order the only remaining version - black dial/white markers, which I also like. Well, of course I waited too long and now all are sold out. Not all is lost however. Found a LNIB (pouch?) g...

Re: Won a hummer on ebay

Cool, I had a Constellation hummer a while back.
One of the main issues they have is the plastic calendar wheel that gets brittle and breaks teeth.

Good article here actually:

Re: Lorier Watches - Neptune diver

Just arrived today. Early impressions are all very positive. Wears really well and does not feel as small as the 39mm spec might suggest. Very classic Sub sized, but with a bit of thickness making it feel a bit more substantial. I am impressed with the details like the polished chamfers, enameled di...

Lorier Watches - Neptune diver

I noticed a few Pics getting around Instagram, and thought I would take a look. https://www.lorierwatches.com/collections/watches I am not usually interested in micros, or homagey style watches, but occasionally something like this pops up that piques my interest. I ended up impulse buying (preorder...

The rubber strap is actually very nice, I helped a coworker fit one a while back.
I was impressed with the quality feel.

Tempted by the orange ( I wonder how an orange/DLC version would look like in person  ).
I need to purge a bit before any more incomings though :naughty:

Submariner Full disassembly video in detail.

Peter Speake Marin completely disassembles a modern submariner. I found this pretty interesting and informative. As a Sub owner it is nice to see what is inside also. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBPjnI2hnoc Check it out.( 1st part only) Also heaps of content here: https://www.thenakedwatchmaker....

Nice one. Classic GMT.

I changed the bezel on my 16710 once, and got some good advice and tips from here.

Here is the thread if it helps:

The logo doesn't bother me that much, I am more concerned about the price point going up significantly.
I would like a sapphire crystal though.

Can't play the 'if only' game, it will do your head in. There is opportunity within the volatility though, so as long as you are not risking money you can't afford to lose it is fine. I have basically removed my principal investment, so I just pretend like it is monopoly money at this stage. maybe i...

Re: Any tips on bracelet install? - Sinn 212

Make sure you are using the right spring bars. Sinn uses different bars for the bracelet and rubber straps. 100% this. bracelet bars are shorter than the strap bars, so you will struggle putting the longer ones on with the bracelet. It is actually worse if you succeed, because removing them will be...

That is the "big date" for blind old men I presume. They have similar models without it fortunately.

For those who have not seen them, the "Apple" watch and the Cheese watch from Moser:

I actually like this:

The Apple watch was great.
They are very serious about watchmaking, but have a great sense of humour.

If I was balling I would definitely rock a Red gold fume dial. Amazing
