Re: Working From Home

I was working from home for around 5 months. I generally liked it because I am more naturally reclusive. I really struggled at first when I had to return back to the office, took a while to get back into the swing of things. Now I am doing a 50/50 split and I think the balance is good personally. I ...

AWCo x Squale No Radiobino

Interesting piece courtesy of Amsterdam Watch Co and Squale: https://www.awco.nl/shop/special-editions/awco-x-squale-no-radiobino/ squale-limited-edition-model-no-radiobino-awco-26.jpg It is a real pity it is only 34.8mm, and the "undersized" bracelet kinda sucks. 40mm or so, and a proper bracelet f...

Re: Requested Info Plus A Hell Of A Lot More

I had to dig up the old thread - blast from the past  http://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=11651&p=198613#p198613 Is that the first Isofrane review on DWC? I don't think so - It was a long time ago though. Soon after this I determined that I really did not like Isof...

Re: Requested Info Plus A Hell Of A Lot More

Use a quality screwdriver, hot water soak bracelet beforehand can help. I had a 5000t years ago that was almost impossible to get the screws out, but the several Doxas I have had since then have been fine. Re: MarineMaster 300 curved end rubber straps?

Personally I absolutely love the CB rubber on my MM300. Used to have just a regular Seiko clasp on it, but it fits me better, and is even more comfortable for me with the racheting clasp. You ought to give it a try. Same - I like the CB strap with the MM ratcheting clasp. I feel like it balances th...

Re: New Seiko Thread

Pending real pictures of the new MM200 I think I finally found my next Seiko. It’s so close to the MM300 while being thinner, which was my only real gripe style wise of the MM300. I’ve been perfectly content with just the NAFT as my one Seiko diver. This may change it. Matt’s pictures do make that ...

Re: real-world experience of MM

I have an SBDX017. I did not expect to wear it on the bracelet much, but I actually like it more than I thought I would. I have never worn it on the original rubber strap, but really liked wearing on the Crafter Blue deployant rubber strap https://www.crafterblue.com/product-page/crafter-blue-rubber...

Re: Don't buy your Rolex from Australia

I have sold a few watches through the AWBSS Facebook group, including one to Nick Glynatsis actually. Fortunately I had never purchased any, so lucky I don't have any concerns there. I just finished reading through the Reddit thread. What a shit show and amazing all the serial dodgy behavior that is...

Re: Don't buy your Rolex from Australia

There are a lot of good dudes on Australian Watch Buyers & Sellers Facebook page , so it is a shame that shit like this has happened with an admin. It will be interesting to see if it survives. I have sold a few watches there because it is easier to deal with local buyers. Shit like this just destro...

Reply from Unimatic: "Unfortunately we are not able to retrofit the metal holder to the older models" I followed up and asked if I could just buy the part, but they basically just repeated the statement above. Re: Strapcode Expandable Clasp Review

It is like the Doxa 5000t clasp. I bought one with the Crafter Blue MM300 strap, but I found that where the strap connects to the clasp on one side, it would pivot almost in a perpendicular way rather than feeding out of the clasp in a linear way, so I found it did not work at all for me with this s...
