Re: Strapcode Expandable Clasp Review

It is like the Doxa 5000t clasp. I bought one with the Crafter Blue MM300 strap, but I found that where the strap connects to the clasp on one side, it would pivot almost in a perpendicular way rather than feeding out of the clasp in a linear way, so I found it did not work at all for me with this s...

Re: Post your ridiculously priced Rolex finds

Fortunately I bought most of my Rolex watches when the my AUS $ was parity with the US$. ^Same Jules, the price jacking plus the Aus dollar situation makes these eyewatering now. I feel lucky I have a Sub and GMT, but I could pretty much never buy again. I saw a 16710 for $21k AUD on an Aus watch f...

That's a great looking $2700 watch.
Kinda what I was thinking. I would consider it at that price, but not at $5k

Check out Lorier also. I have one of the first generation Neptunes and it is great for the price.

Re: Unimatic's U1-SP L.E.

How are these guys still around after the movement fiasco and handling? I wouldn't want to be a customer after that... Didn't this brand have a big issue with movement spacers or something like that in the recent past? There was no issue. Only Jake from Dagaz watches had an issue/compliant when ser...

I love the CB on my MM300.
I can't comment on the buckle versions as the MM300 version uses the stock deployant clasp. Maybe that's why I like it so much as it is very fitted and adjusts easily.

At least he got a full refund, which is the best outcome when trying to get out of a shit sandwich.

I feel like the blue/black SS versions are missing a pop of colour. Not bad but maybe not as nice as previous generations IMHO

Re: I guess Rolex isn't the only brand experiencing a pricing bubble

Restricted availability has certainly pumped pricing - Where does it stop though? Luxury brands never ever want to drop their price points, I just wonder if they are setting themselves up for a big crash in a few years time as revenue slides the wrong way entirely. I remember thinking about consolid...

They need to come out with some new models, not just fashion X variants.

They also need to stop pushing the boundaries of pricing especially without technical improvements (like better movements etc)

Big wrists; plenty of Seiko and Citizens in larger sizes, or stretch the budget to an Oris diver.
Quality over quantity for sure.

Re: Watch caseback remover

squishy ball, or some tape rolled in a ball (sticky side out) is very effective for screwbacks.
A small case knife or pry tool like the yellow one above is good for snap on casebacks.

Maybe get a little bit of gasket grease for when you put the caseback/gasket back in.

Crafter blue for sure. I actually like how it uses the original clasp, as it kinda balances it out a bit.
