Re: Best boutique diver?

IMO boutique = $$$$$$$ watches (Bremont, UTS, Kobold, etc) Micro = inexpensive catalogue watches, not a reflection on quality (Helson, Deep Blue, Halios, etc) Contract watches would be more like SAS, AEgir, etc. (original designs, but not so expensive as to make them "boutique watches") Best defini...

Re: My "What should I get question..." - Sorry

The tsunami is very neat. I don't know, if I like the Stowa (I hated it a couple of years ago, but since then, it is growing on me. The Monster is pretty cool, but it is a special edition, isn't it, so I guess I would never wear it (I have a black one already and love it). Cool pics, btw!

My "What should I get question..." - Sorry

Sorry guys, there are a lot of those “what should I get threads” – I read quite a lot of them, but in non I found a satisfying suggestion. -I want to spend +/- 500 USD (or in my case CHF) - don't have more at the moment. -I am looking for a dive watch (100m or more), which not everybody has (so no C...

Re: Pronunciation of various brands

If someone wants to know how to pronounce the Swiss brands in Swiss German, let me know, I am a native. And btw, Swiss German is a language not a dialect. Unfortunately most Swiss watches are made in the French speaking part of Switzerland, and I cannot afford them!

Guinards just reselling private label watches with 'Mr Helmut Sinn' heritage. There r 4 other brands i know using the...

Re: Your thoughts and opinions on the Debaufre Triton...

Wow! (...) rchased the older model with the square date which is unfortunate because I'm a lume freak but hopefully it will be okay. I like the way the newer model outlines the date in orange. pretty cool! Can't really go wrong for $250 though. Thanks again . :headbang: 2-5-0??? ? Where can I get o...

I guess it's Seiko, but to my gusto thy haven't shown anything nice lately. Omega is a good one... At the moment I think I would go with the Glycine Lagunare Chrono as presented on Basel 2010:

Re: New Tissot Seastar 1000

Not a real dive watch on my opinion: No lume pip or special marker on the bezel (of course we all use dive computers) + no lumed second hand = lame! But I expected some kind of dive watch, when I read new Seastar 1000 - ah, well... It will find its customers, I guess... I dislike the strap and it ha...

I bought once from the US... No problem, I sent the money he send my the Samurai.. I did some research about the seller... He seemed good, so I "wired" the money - I only was angry at my Swiss bank, the gave me a bad CHF/USD-rate and charged about USD20 for transfer...

Buddy, make it have price - then it will sell, but if you have to "bump" your offer daily, it is not priced well - got it!!?!?

I am with Seth: Don't missunderstand me, it is not bad to not have unlimited ressources, and to bake small rolls. If you can't produce more then 50 pieces, that is not bad either. If I like your watch, and I like the value/price ratio and if I can affoard it, I will buy it. I even like to support sm...
