They were headed down through the USA, Mexico, Panama...ending up in Argentina. The truck was custom built and weighed 11T. It is 4x4, has a 530L diesel capacity, ...

Re: Fifty Years Ago Today...

Mom, Dad and I (12) went over to a family friend's house and had a moon landing party. I remember it vividly.

My parents are gone now, but I called the friend's house today and had a great conversation about it with them, who are well into their eighties.

I laughed. Tried to get him to race me in my truck, but he wasn’t going for it. [emoji38] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190622/eccf8fcf66e2548331c85efcdb2548ac.jpg While that wing is cheesy as all hell, there's a pretty potent V8 under the hood. 390HP and yes, it looks ridiculous.

The TR6 was another I lusted.
I know someone who had one. Nice to look at, not so nice to own. I think the same can be said for most British sports cars.
Correct...

The old joke with an XKE is you needed your mechanic driving behind you in a wrecker.
Maybe so, but still one of the most beautiful automotive designs ever created IMO.

Dave...there's some speculation the Tucker might get close to 3M. 2+ is probably more realistic. Some of you know Wayne Carini, who is involved on behalf of the seller. And yes, it's really cool. This is a pretty big deal.

For You Car Guys

There's a little auction coming up in my hometown. ;) https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/25593/ Frank Spain, a true pioneer in the early days of TV, amassed the collection and his widow closed the museum last month. Proceeds will benefit education. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_K._Spain The Tuck...
